There's no way this is anything other than an injury. Sorry folks, no conspiracy theories....

There's more chance of a Nigerian Prince.

He was also injured on week 2, but this time it must be more serious.

Not everything is a massive conspiracy, give your mind a rest

Is it a conspiracy theory at this point?

It's quite clear imo that the Show has had to pull a John Sargent move because they feel like Nigel potentially winning might harm the Show in some way.

In the grand scheme of things it's just a Celebrity Dancing Show so it's not a big deal, but imo I think there's been a mutual agreement for Nigel to leave, after all I doubt that Nigel is going to care either way.

When it's to do with Reality TV, they will pull any stunt to get the result that they want.

The three most corrupt things in this world are Reality TV, Politics and Sports, all three industries have pulled unbelievable farces in the past that were way more outlandish than Nigel's situation, especially considering this is the same Show that had to get John Sargent out because he was really popular with the public in his series.

Basically it's not a stretch to see this as something just a tiny bit dodgy.

millyrose 02-12-2023 10:07 PM

It's sad Nigel has left i liked him

I really don’t think that’s it, Mock. You can’t dance if you’ve twisted your rib and that’s pretty much all it is with Harman.

I'm arguing that did he really twist his rib?

And yes I know that I'm sounding like Alf with the conspiracy theories, but it's a Reality TV Show at the end of the day, and they all do some engineering to get a desired outcome.

Because imo all they have to do now is get Annabel out by putting her bottom of the leaderboard, one of Layton or Bobby top of the leaderboard (presumably Layton) and then place Ellie 2nd on the leaderboard (knowing that Annabel can't beat Ellie by two places) and bam! Annabel is in the bottom two with Bobby and gets eliminated.

Thus making one of the most boring Strictly finals of all time as Ellie will be the only finalist with a big fanbase, kind of similar to when Josie won BB11.

If I end up being wrong on any of this then I'll own it, but I suspect that I am pretty damn close to seeing through the production on Strictly this year.

You’re entitled your opinion but to me there’s no conspiracy theory about this, I can’t lie.

Fair enough.

Tbh the only way evidence will 100% come my way is when the production pits Annabel against Bobby next week and eliminates her from the competition.

So I'll let them do the talking, after all Annabel isn't my personal favourite, but Nigel's elimination makes it tricky for Annabel to make the final.

Redway 03-12-2023 04:34 AM

In the meantime I’m going to just have to wish Nigel Harman a speedy recovery. I personally don’t have any reason to doubt that he is genuinely injured and when that’s the case you want to get better as much as people want you to be able to finish what you started or pick up from where you left off on the pitch. Or wherever.

Mystic Mock 03-12-2023 04:44 AM

Look if he is genuinely injured then I do apologize.

I can't help but be skeptical though, especially if I am right on who the finalists will end up being.

Redway 03-12-2023 07:46 AM

He sounded like anyone tranqued up on painkillers would, Mock. I know you don’t mean any harm but this isn’t the time for conspiracy theory. They wouldn’t have him on tramadol just to boot him out so that someone else could win.

Nicky91 03-12-2023 07:53 AM

no conspiracy theories please

honestly i think their intended charleston choreo was proven way too difficult, i kinda do blame the judges for having stayed extra harsh on him all these weeks which is why they kept challenging themselves with more difficult choreo's by the week

don't think he would've withdrawn if he didn't hurt his ribs yesterday morning

also it was the only thing the BBC could do was cancel the elimination, and carry over this weeks scores to next week semi final (so now we will have 3 sets of scores next week: musical week + the two semi final dances)

Layton might have 40 now, but weaker moments might still put him back in trouble and no you can't use this weeks performances for next weeks dance off, so Layton isn't out of danger yet

the other 3 couples need to make sure they hopefully have two strong performances next week, high scoring performances if possible too

Vanessa 03-12-2023 08:57 AM

He did look in a lot of pain, even though he was on medication.

If he has hurt himself, then I hope that he gets better, I don't think that anyone should be injuring themselves on Strictly Come Dancing, so hopefully his ribs can heal up.

And regardless of conspiracy theories, Annabel and Ellie both need to go through this semi-final just so that as viewers we actually have a competitive final.

No offense to Bobby & Layton, but they're looking considerably behind the two girls at the moment.

He was also injured on week 2. Had to have physio.
Leyton is not winning anyway. It will be Ellie. Or Annabelle of she gets to the final.
Bobby is the weakest one. Nigel was miles better.

We need Annabel in the final just to give Ellie a scrap in the public vote.

I would love Annabelle in the final. I just can't take to Bobby or Leyton.

millyrose 04-12-2023 01:58 PM

I do think the final will Ellie Layton and Annabelle

No offense to Bobby, but it would make for the best final, so I hope that you're right.

I called it all to perfection.

And people tried tell me that the Show wasn't rigging.:smug:

I mean tbf excluding Nigel because that really is just a conspiracy theory on my end.

But I called how the top four would play out to perfection, I shouldn't be able to call it like that unless it's got a scripted pattern to the outcome.

I really don't think it was rigged it was all down to the public vote in the final Ellie won fair and square.
