Even with the new thread focus I still think there wont be many

Watkins or Ward-Prowse maybe but they've more than earnt their place but its Southgate and we know he doesn't look at current form or metrics like that. I wouldnt be surprised if a half fit Reece James, for instance, makes the final squad

I agree with this. Maybe Toney could be included as well but he’s been out for a while and I highly doubt Southgate would choose him anyways since GiRTh already said, he doesn’t pick players who are on good form, he goes for his favourites even if they ain’t fully fit.

Rico Lewis ?

Southgate apparently likes multiple position players

Zizu 24-01-2024 07:45 PM

I’m gonna throw in Liverpool’s young RB !!

He hasn’t put a foot wrong since his debut

He’s technically good , aggressive , fast , tall , fantastic going forwards and defending . He sees the pass as well .

The last time I young fullback impressed me from the get go was another Liverpool youngster also at RB .. can’t recall his name but he had a brilliant debut up against Ryan Giggs ( !!) then went onto play for England

Intriguingly Dier should get a run in the team as Upamecano tore his hamstring tonight

They should give him at least one cap before the Euros cuz he's eligible for number of nations

Far too soon for Branthwaite and Colwill .

Both make too many mistakes imho

Branthwaite made arguably the most ridiculously stupid pass I’ve seen all season against Arsenal

Plus this against Luton a week earlier
