Ditto for me

I think with this he could spring a surprise at Eurovision.
Maybe not win but do very well, even exceptionally well.

Crimson Dynamo 01-03-2024 06:28 PM

The Guardian gave it 3 stars just like they did for the car crash effort last year by the extreme left-wing girl

:skull:

I find it a bit meh. Doesn’t really go anywhere. Maybe I’ll change my mind. But definitely don’t see it winning.

I do love a grower, so let’s hope so

Crimson Dynamo 01-03-2024 10:17 PM

The odds of UK winning have drifted since the song release

Lol

Genuinely think Mae Muller had a better song

I hope that he has a better song than what she had last year.

I haven't checked his song out yet.

Tbh, after hearing it I feel we're going for another bottom two finish.

I like Olly and Years & Years, but the BBC yet again just doesn't understand what songs are popular with the general Eurovision audience.

Is it really about the songs though ..

Last time I watched it .. it was just political and seemed pointless

Oh the political side definitely plays apart (Ukraine beating Sam Ryder being a prime example that it's not about the song or the vocal) but in fairness here, I feel like Olly is better than last year's trainwreck, but I don't really see it getting many votes.

Tbh I see more chance of both Blues and Rotherham winning their respective matches today on the Football, than I do seeing Olly being in the top 15 with this song.

i preferred Stefania over Space Man song wise too tbh, more fun and uplifting

Ukraine has always been among my fave countries in the contest (even when i was younger, i was bopping to Ruslana's Wild Dances)

my fave UK entries were 2012 Engelbert Humperdinck the greatest ever british artist for me personally, i thought he was robbed of a better result, 2013 i felt sad for Bonnie, because i just have a weak for her edgy vocals and i liked her song

Nicky91 02-03-2024 07:59 AM

Olly's career needs to be ended :fc:

Black Dagger 02-03-2024 12:05 PM

You’re such a dull hateful parasite Nicky. It’s getting boring

What an unnecessary and horrible thing to say.
Really Nicky I cannot take you seriously anymore.

What on earth has he done that his career should be ended?

For crying out loud.

if u cannot offer anything better than mediocre, even with a top composer like Danny L Harle (whom also scored many earwurm hits for Dua Lipa for example and many more)

but yeah don't listen to my advice in terms of entries, NOPE :idc:

Nicky91 02-03-2024 12:45 PM

UK are one of the countries in the music industry besides Sweden, USA and South Korea

and the only thing what you can offer to eurovision, is middle of the road bores

You wouldn’t be saying things like that if you knew the struggles he’s endured throughout his life … some continue to this day

He’s still heavily medicated apparently for his anxieties and long term depression issues

Japan also has a big Music scene.

Ammi 03-03-2024 07:32 AM

….for me, a big part of Eurovision as well is the styling and the performance themselves etc…yes, I’m that shallow…so I’m looking forward to seeing what Olly will wear…(…and he is a bit of a style icon so I’m hoping for SENSATIONAL…)…and his choreography….…
