wow, poor Sharon, that was bad. It takes guts to make a stand like that though and not bow to the party line to keep yourself in the media

Absolutely agree!

It seems to be the norm with many nowadays that if you dislike or disbelieve a black person, or a mixed race person, you are automatically a racist. Or if not an out and out racist, then you are displaying unconscious bias. Nothing whatsoever to do with the person’s personality, or actions, or character.
Poor Sharon, having to sit there and listen to her ‘friends’ telling her onscreen in front of America that they know better than her what is really in her mind and heart; that she doesn’t know it, but she has this unconscious bias. What a way to heal divisiveness and bring unity.
No wonder she lost her temper, being bombarded with that guff without any of them being able to produce a shred of evidence of any racism, unconscious or otherwise from her, or Piers either, for that matter. Disgraceful.

I totally agree that she has a right to her opinion and blacklisting her is harsh, but I also think that if any of the Loose Women had behaved the way she did (shouting and literally swearing at her co-hosts on live daytime television) I don't think they would have their job there anymore either. There's passionate debate and there's... that. I do understand that she probably felt ambushed and defensive, but if she had handled the situation better there probably would have been a very different outcome.

….I still don’t know all of the details etc in terms of Sharon leaving the show …I read that she apologised to the other presenter afterwards at some point and has also said that she reflects on it differently now in how she addressed it all…?…and I also read that she made the decision to leave the show, so I’m not sure what the ‘black listing’ thing is….

She is not employable in that role in the USA anymore

Cherie 08-03-2024 04:07 PM

Maybe that is why they are coming back to the UK, I am sure she will be employed here on some channel, and I would back her as she spoke alot of sense, dont think she is a racist and crying on a debating show is hardly professional, it is the equivalent of a toddler tantrum

…does she want to be, though…I guess because Sharon isn’t really relaying it all how it happened in terms of accuracy, I’m just going to hold back on all of that ……because she’s also said that she’s only doing her little bit in the house because she doesn’t want to spend time away from Ozzie with his Parkinson’s condition …so maybe, she’s not seeking that role or any role atm, she’s focusing on other things…Sharon also does like to say things for controversy/…throw stuff out there… so I don’t know…I’m not going to think that’s accurate unless I feel it is and I’m honestly not sure…I don’t think any of us can say that to be truth tbh…

bots 08-03-2024 04:09 PM

Sharon is not a nice person, she never has been. I have never liked her

Ammi 08-03-2024 04:12 PM

…anyway, she’s not an Adele fan as a person, either …or James Cordon…

Ammi 08-03-2024 04:18 PM

…I’ve just read that the reason for the return to the UK is also related to Ozzie’s health and condition and the treatments and availability etc here…the UK is just the best place for him to be right now, so not work related…that’s why I’m thinking that’s also the reason why she decided the time was right for her to leave that show and why she isn’t working now…

bots 08-03-2024 04:18 PM

I think you will find that Adele and Cordon have said or done something to snub her at some point and she didn't like it

Ammi 08-03-2024 04:21 PM

…I guess that Ozzie’s health concerns are a constant for her as well and have been for some time so that creates a more negative demeanor as well, doesn’t it…

Ammi 08-03-2024 04:22 PM

…I like her, I have to say…

oh for sure, we are all hostage to what we are going through, but, going back years, the reason Black Sabbath were successful was because she was tough and ruthless back in the day, there were all sorts of stories about her at the time

…ahhh, I don’t really know much about back in the day and her Manager days…I only really became aware of her and them as a family from the Osborne series that followed them…and she’s always seemed a hugely protective presence with Ozzie… it I know obviously that she was his manager and as a female in that world at that time, it would I imagine been very difficult also…so I imagine that she had to cultivate a certain ‘ruthlessness’ as well for self preservation and survival etc…?…and obviously she would keep that as part of who she is, also …she seems very much to me as a ‘fighter/scrapper’ to me and as I say, I wonder if that’s a throwback characteristic to being so much in a ‘man’s world’ and her survival and success in it…I don’t know and could be completely wrong but I’m just feeling that ‘they won’t employ me…’…is the fighter in her, when the reality might be that she doesn’t want that employ…she’s in another and different part of her life and her focus being Ozzie…

Especilaly by idiots like LBC's James O'Brien who'll call you a racist just because you don't agree with him on any other issues.

I suspect it's the same in the USA.

James O’Brien is such a knob…
