This is why opinions should be presented as merely opinions, rather than facts. Just because someone chooses to state a point of view is correct, it doesn’t mean it is.

Perceptions do, indeed, differ, Carfie, but ultimately there is only one truth.

I am not anti Fern but she isn't quite the angel she is being made out to be, she has stepped up recently so lets see how it all pans out now that protagonist is out of the house, if she starts picking on Louis, she will have me to deal with though

…just slightly off topic but I don’t know if anyone has read any of her fictions…?..I might give one a whirl, tbh….

‘Her books are cherished for their warmth, wit and wisdom, and have won Fern legions of loyal readers….’….

Fern isn't that exciting, granted, but she offers more than the young fella's do.

Yeah, it shouldn't take someone long to understand that talking to certain users about certain housemates is simply a lost cause sometimes

…I don’t know anything about her life tbh…but her fiction books seem to some quite good reviews, I’m not sure what genre that are, though…

I think it’s quite refreshing to have an alternative set of people, rather than the usual predictable groupings.

I don’t believe anyone hates Fern or believes her to be a bad person, but are just discussing her character flaws, something she has just like any other housemate in there. To me, comments about her, are not her being singled out, but the recognition that she - just like all the others - isn’t perfect either.

I don’t dislike Fern, but she doesn’t particularly appeal to me, as I find her the least interesting to watch. I guess responses to housemates all comes down to personal preference and those we are drawn to or not. We don’t all like the same people in real life, and we aren’t all going to like the same housemates.

I love your responses, Hetty Lip, and the quote is great, but i feel that life is often a matter of perception, and being only human, we can interpret the truth differently, as no-one can stand outside themselves and all the experiences and influences they have had.

Sometimes, I think there is no truth but only perception, so in fact, there can be numerous ‘truths’. Reality and perception is such a fascinating concept.

…I think for me with Fern, I neither like her or dislike her…she’s someone who I was less familiar with when she went into the house in terms of watching her shows…/…her TV work etc../…her celebrity…and I feel as though that hasn’t changed very much through her time there…she seems to be someone who is ‘holding back’ quite a bit…I mean, maybe they all are but Fern for me seems noticing so because she’s made comments about them all being great people and attaching to them etc…but when she gave her reasons for nominating Ekin-Su, it felt like a release of a lot of negative things…she really had been holding on to some stuff that wasn’t ’great people’ stuff so she’s holding back on things that would help us to get to know her and that’s an essence of BB…?…snyesy, I don’t dislike her, I’ve seen nothing to dislike particularly…but that’s it, really…I’ve seen very little and would have liked to see more…we watch BB to get to know people/housemates…so ‘guarded’ doesn’t really give us very much at all…

Ammi 18-03-2024 05:39 AM

…anyway, in terms of house/group dynamics, Fern has most definitely held more interest and provided more talking points than some of the others…

Well, unless you want to see them lick each other's armpits anyway.:yuk:

Ammi 18-03-2024 05:53 AM

…I have to say that although I don’t feel as though I know her character any more than when she went in the house… I do feel that she’s someone who deserves to be in the final…

What have they done to show they are more genuine...because they really have done nothing!!

Bronzo 18-03-2024 05:14 PM

Fern comes across as fake to me, disingenuous. I think others in the house have seen it also, she is often nominated.

She gets nominated because she is an easy pick who won’t take offence…
