And that carcinogens exist. It's not still a complete mystery.

But it does hit healthy people as well.
For example, my late grandfather was a heavy smoker, but was healthy pretty much his while life.

So the worlds doomed then.

If you are more likely to get cancer if your parents had it.

Cancer is rising rapidly, and with that information will only increase more, and more quickly as time passes.

Pretty good article about it here,

Being overweight is a major factor, people are stuffing their faces full of stuff that is bad for them, and our western diet is doing us no favours

…I don’t know if anyone here uses or is familiar with the app, Yuka…?..strangely I was telling IthinkIloveyoutoo about it the other day…with my phone, it scans your food item and ‘analyses’ it in terms of good and bad health choices and it obviously picks out toxins in foods that are best to avoid altogether…not just food items but cosmetic products as well, it also analyses those things such as soaps and shampoos and deodorants and moisturisers and make up items etc..and even when things are said to have no additives and be more natural in their ingredients…?….its surprising how very many are a definite NO in their toxic value…I felt as though I always looked for natural ingredients etc …but realised that I didn’t nearly so much as I could and do now ….anyways, I’m quite obsessive with mine and with using it…and it’s something I would absolutely recommend to anyone else…

Not heard of that but it sounds useful, when my aunt got breast cancer her Macmillan nurse told her never to use underwired bras as they are associated with a rise in breast cancer cases, dont know if there is any science to it or something she observed herself but I have avoided them every since

Kate, Princess of Wales and her cancer diagnosis thread…

The only quirky thing I’ve heard about cancer is that supposedly taking massive doses of Vitamin C ( power form) has had massive beneficial effects on the disease ranging from slowing it down to pausing it to even driving it away !!

God forbid I never get the disease but I’d definitely be trying it .. what have you to lose ??

When I say “ protein shakes and the like “ …

I’m also referring to all the other additives and things like steroids and gawd knows what else they the young people are taking nowadays

There’s a new shop near us just opened up just selling exercise additives and protein powders

…if anyone would like to look into the Yuka app and downloading it onto their phone to scan their products…?…this link tells you more about it…

https://yuka.io/en/

…it’s so easy to use and is basically colour coded from red through to amber and green, a traffic light style…it also gives you a score on the product that you’re scanning…

Excellent (75 to 100)
Good (50 to 75)
Poor (20 to 50)
Bad (0 to 25)

…it’s not an app that has any product sponsorship …so no conflict of interest or biases etc…

I might try this. I'm never sure if I'm making the right choices when I'm food shopping.

People's diet (I can tbf eat a lot of unhealthy junk too, so I'm not meaning to attack anyone else that's guilty of doing it,) and I do suspect that some of the chemicals that we sometimes use on our bodies, such as Perfume or Deodorant, are increasing our chances of developing Cancer.

Smoking, log fires, sunbathing, too much processed food.
These days there are so many contributing factors.
Doctors said my parents got cancer from the log fire they used to have in their house. Plus both heavy smokers and drinkers.
Which is normal in Italy, people love their wine.

Well Kate definitely did a lot of good for this woman's life.

Hopefully Kate will get more opportunities to do good like this.

It's perfectly possible to implement exactly this with some extremely simple code but James likes to claim it's some sort of magical rocket science that we can never possibly have on the older forums skins :joker:.
