Drama and Welsh teacher Fiona Elias was revealed to be among the three being treated for non-life threatening injuries after the incident…

Non life threatening could still mean slashed faces though which are life ‘changing’

Fingers crossed

…obviously we don’t know the extent of the injuries but they’re often described as ‘life altering but not life threatening’, which isn’t being applied atm so that’s good…

‘One of the teachers injured in the stabbing has been named as Fiona Elias, the BBC reports. Ms Elias, 48, is the deputy headteacher at the school. Her father, John Owen, said he spoke to her after the attack and she told him she had “superficial injuries," The Times reports.’

…’superficial’ is most definitely an encouraging word to hear after such an incident…

Thank god for that.

13 year old children are not "evil" :idc: and shouldn't be locked up for life for a violent outburst. I personally hope someone is looking into the circumstances that have led to this because I would imagine they are not good. Teenagers don't end up this sort of violent at random. I'm glad no one was more seriously hurt and I hope this child gets the help they need also.

So after she’s had some counselling and then released.. can we assume that you’d welcome her with open arms back into your community - given she’s just knifed 3 innocent people ??

That’s basically what you are expecting of those who live in her community including all those children who had to climb and jump over a 7’ fence to save themselves

No one has to "welcome her back" or do anything that they don't want to do, but a 13 year old shouldn't be locked up for life for a violent outburst, and the idea that they should be is utterly ludicrous. An adult male with previous assault charges wouldn't get life for a knife attack causing superficial injury or anything even close to it.

As for the likelihood of rehabilitation, that depends entirely on the circumstances -- there are probably some very obvious reasons that this young person has ended up like this. Like I said, "evil" doesn't exist and if a child is violent, 99 times out of 100 it's because they've experienced serious violence and abuse themselves.

She’s being charged for 3 cases of attempted murder plus one for possession of a knife !!

That’s hardly a ‘violent outburst’ as you tried to trivialise events .

I agree that I don't support a 13 year old being locked up for life (especially as I'm currently having sympathy with a 19 year old that killed an innocent man whilst high on drugs, and driving) so I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't agree with you on this topic really.

And Caleb (the 19 year old in question) had his life ruined by society, and reports were going around that he tried to kill himself, but he killed an innocent man instead.

But my sympathy for him is on how society pushed him over the edge.

And I am interested to see how a 13 year old has got so violent.
