Keep him away from kids and he could maybe do charity work?

I'm actually not sure now.
I'd forgot about the statement of him paying to ensure at least the original guy involved, would never speak out on the whole affair

I can't stand The Big Bang Theory, but have watched Young Sheldon in the past. The girl who plays Sheldon's sister is now 16, so "legal" in the UK. If Peirs Morgan had an affair with her most people would think it absolutely disgusting, and a complete abuse of power on his part. Same thing here with Schofield. You only defend him because he's gay. Says more about you than anything else really.

Morally it's revolting, and just sick tbh. The story is even more disgusting considering Phil met him as a 12 year old, and got him a job, then waited until he was 16 to shag him. It's fcuked up.

I agree that it's morally a bit of a weird situation, that I personally would never get myself involved in, even if I thought that the 16-17 year old was attractive, I just wouldn't do it due to the age gap (which I never envisioned myself as the older figure in this type of scenario before, it's kind of weird.)

However, as far as any of us are aware of, he didn't go and have sex with this guy at 12 years old (thank god) and at least waited until he was of legal age, because unfortunately there are Celebs who don't wait.

My point being, that we as a society need to pick our battles in Showbiz, and Philip Schofield isn't someone that concerns me personally.

Philip's behaviour was definitely dodgy to say the least.

I just think that Showbiz has bigger evil to deal with.

There have been no accusations of illegality or abuse, only conspiracy theories by people who think gay men are perverts

"Adult men grooming teenagers is OK so long as they wait until they're of legal age before they actually **** them."

He wasn't a young lad in his 20's Liam he was in his 50's and married with kids. It has absolutely nothing to do with him being gay and in fact - I guess maybe I should check my biases here - but I'd actually be even more horrified if he had done this with a teenage girl. I think a lot of people would. So if your focus is on double standards... Your worry should really be the number of people who would be furious if there'd been photos of cosy lunches with a 15 year old girl but simply are not bothered that he did it to a young gay man.

…any type of public career is surely just speculation, he’s returned to social media again after an absence from that…the rest is just speculating over something that might never happen….he’s always been a very wholesome public image and he can’t be that anymore and I would say that he’s definitely a huge ‘risk factor’ for any TV channel to take on in any capacity other than a reality show like BB etc…

Ammi 16-05-2024 06:52 AM

…but yes, he’s ‘ventured’ back onto social media after an absence and being mainly surrounded by a close support circle …and he obviously must know how exposed and unprotected and ‘without shelter’ that will be for him, so he obviously feels strong enough to face that and he will have to accept all aspects of it…

You 2nd last paragraph, in modern day terms would make him a MAP, and in older times terms, a dirty noncing paedo

Well he might argue that he didn't find him attractive when the guy was a child, we have no evidence to contradict that statement that I would guess that Phillip would make either.

I personally agree with you on him being a MAP though, but I want the ones that actually act on these vile urges to be dealt with more.

Like Huw Edwards for example with the CP.

Holly, who actually had someone trying to murder her is a witch ..... yeah sure Phil

GoldHeart 08-10-2024 05:23 PM

He needs to get off the internet, nobody cares what he has to say . Just like nobody wanted to watch his bore fest of being on an Island moaning and self pitying  .

He's still thirsty for adulation but he's a washed up old man now who in my view looks older than 62.

He can no longer present himself as a professional broadcaster but instead he comes across as a very bitter sad old man.

Indeed. He could simply have disappeared with at least a little dignity intact (as far as one can do when they've been grooming teenagers I guess) but instead he chose to whine endlessly and, inexplicably, maroon himself on a desert island to film himself whining even more. But in grubby shorts.

It's not like he's just starting out or still has a career to build, he's been around for decades and in his 60's. Just bloody retire quietly ffs.
