I don't think Starmer is that much overweight.
Not at all

At least he goes around not with his shirt tails hanging out his trousers like a previous PM did

arista 24-05-2024 12:57 PM

Starmer has asked for a Debate on 3rd of July

I would say
SkyNews should join with ITV
to do one

Sad BBC another

bots 24-05-2024 01:11 PM

they would never do a leader debate the day before the election. I'm surprised Starmer even suggests it

Yes
I assume that would be the 2nd Debate/

Maybe the First TV debate
could be very soon.

arista 24-05-2024 01:20 PM

5 hours ago to the BBC

[Of course there will be live TV debates - Starmer

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said he will
carry out TV debates, but won't commit to the
idea of weekly head-to-heads,
suggested by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Sir Keir added he could debate with the
PM "once or a hundred times",
but "I know what he is going to say.]

My best friend is leading a campaign to have this dealt with...she has been on the news recently and was on Countryfile last Monday as she and the villagers are suffering bigtime in Chalfont St Peter.

I'm sorry but Starmer will be a useless leader imo......

3 would be more than enough.

There's really only so much that can be said but in these debates often what's more needed to be said or answered, doesn't even get asked to be.
Because the channels and presenters just want to create divisions and controversy.

Sunak is in my view, the worst PM ever for not even sticking to the content of questions asked of him, never mind ever really answering anything.

So yes, 3 maximum.
No more definitely.

All politicians are question-dodgers at times but Sunak doesn't even f do it with any finesse. He just does this stupid laugh and vacant grin and then talks about something else. Absolutely zero charisma of any variety.

bots 24-05-2024 02:32 PM

Sunak is an accountant and starmer is a lawyer. That's who they are and they won't change ever

I've even stopped watching PMQs because of Sunak and all you describe there.

You could ask him what he has for breakfast, then he'd likely not even answer that.

That vacant grin you point out particularly irritates me.:joker:

You never know your Luck

Starmer has not answered every question YET

bots 24-05-2024 02:53 PM

the night before an election, there is no time to fix anything if the debate didn't go well for Starmer, so there is no way he will go through with it unless he is losing by a significant margin at that point. Sunak would love it of course

arista 25-05-2024 12:54 PM

Starmer has asked for
one debate on ITV
and one debate on BBC.

BBC Political Reporter Nick Watt stated

arista 29-05-2024 10:29 AM
