Agree with everyone on here.

These two seniors who are suffering from some cognitive decline cannot do the highest-pressure job in the world. Whether the decline is enough for a diagnosis is another story but it's clear they both are not as sharp, and as on top of every situation as they used to be.

The president is supposed to have regular medical examinations so I'm puzzled as to how Biden is passing any type of mental capacity assessment.

They are ignoring his decline.
He is not passing tests
except when he takes tablet uppers, before.

Unfortunately both candidates are having more senile moments during this Election campaign.

I'm still trying to think up any excuses as to why Sunak and Starmer come across as incompetent in the UK Election.

Just to be controversial for a second.

But sometimes religious freedoms aren't always compatible with women's rights.

I really dont understand American politics at all surely there are better suited younger people for the job, and by younger I mean in their 60s or even early 70s, these two are just ridiculous, and I am not being ageist but dont think anyone should be holding that kind of power with the obvious decline in mental ability in both of them

Ammi 12-06-2024 06:45 AM

…ouch, it looked as though it was a cardboard cutout of him and not the actual person…it’s strange that his speech itself is so poor and yet he wasn’t reading it or looking at any type of prompter so he obviously remembers it all in knowing what to say…but then doesn’t say it clearly…/…it’s just the speech thing itself…

UserSince2005 12-06-2024 06:54 AM

Maybe he’s just doing the mannequin challenge?

…I can’t see how it would/could be dementia when he appeared to be relating his speech without any prompting…he wasn’t looking down at any written prompts or looking into any specific place where an autocue type thing could have been…so I would presume that it was all stored in his head and memory etc…

Fox news are saying that Trump is too old and frail to be sent to prison, they don't seem to realise what they are actually saying

If you take politics out of it, i don't know how anyone can say that either of them is the best option for the job

Neither were forced on us in reality. We have primaries so there would have been other choices. It's just our esteem in the system is so low a meme president is a more interesting result than anything else the govt is currently doing. I think it symbolically represents that for some at least it is only a show in the end... or people want the system to fail for whatever reason.

…he can’t be a meme unless he moves though…..well, he could actually, but the animated gif task would be tricky…

The whole govt makes more sense to me if I think of it all as an AI project. Biden is the last presidential human president we will likely have, so maybe in secret he is being used as a source to create a final working model from. What we see on stage is the current test build.

Jokes aside (mostly), I wonder what the feeling towards Kamala is since she could technically take over. Can't be that good? Or, maybe the plan is he gets relected and Kamala ends up as our new show President, but I can't believe she would be that popular even within the party. But I guess if Congress is still able to do fek all, like it normally does, then what does it matter as long as there is no one who will veto.

……the last human President is a scary thought…I like Kamala and she has great moves as well……but I’m not sure how easily she would be accepted as a leader, it would be interesting, anyway…

i wood agree. Trump is rubbing his hands with glee I bet. Likewise the Hunter Biden conviction.

A bit of justice for once. :hee:

she is apparently the most unpopular VP of all time, and there have been a few corkers in recent history, so that's quite an achievement

and not white......

The problem is that with Biden declining in front of everyone, it becomes a very real possibility that she has to take over running the country, so people will view her a lot more critically. The dems really have been responsible for their own fate deciding to go with Biden when they should have won this election easily

…well, Obama became President…but in some states, women not only don’t even have the right to their own bodies but can and are imprisoned for trying to claim that right…so it’s not surprising that their female VP is the least popular ever, as you said…

Realistically, Hillary should have won in 2016, but people preferred to go with a nutter rather than have a woman with a bit of baggage.

The good thing is that Trump is fundamentally very lazy, so his main reason for winning the election is to keep himself out of jail. If he gets that he is sorted, so while they may have plans to turn america into an authoritarian country, they won't succeed in 4 years

…one of the standout ironies there as well is that Trump inferred that Hilary was getting a bit long in the tooth/age wise as well…men don’t live as long as women but apparently they’re fitter for longer, we’ll try to work that one out…

…we never really thought that the number 1 perk of being the US president would be that they got to stay out of jail and the elected would need to employ that perk…nought so strange as real life…

Genuine question. Why do you care about immigration in the USA? It doesn't affect you. It doesn't affect the services in this country? Why is it a big deal?

In that case should we not be calling Northern Ireland "Technically Middle Ireland"
