…tbf, I did once find Jim Carrey irritating as well with his lighter roles but I love the blend of dark and light with the many characters he’s played …and maybe I’ll grow to appreciate Ryan more with more serious roles, also…?…and once I stop finding him so irritating…:fan:…

I saw Fight Club & Jesse James which were ok. But yeah he's a very overrated actor. Seven was underwhelming & I don't think I've ever sat through Meet Joe Black . |

Oh Thelma and Louise was amazing too (even though I wouldn't consider that a Brad Pitt movie per se, his is only a small part in it, same with True Romance but Brad Pitt was pretty funny in that and he was great in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood |

I found the idea of the movie interesting, but It felt very meh  . Yeah I wouldn't really class Thelma & Louise as a Pitt movie ... He's only in it briefly Lol . But I'll admit I've never sat and watched it fully , only seen clips. Again I've never watched the once in Hollywood thing , maybe I should . |

You should definitely put Thelma & Louise on your list of films to watch, it's so good! |

Yeah I can appreciate actors can develop over the years in their skills, but Pitt is just not my favourite. Same with Ben Affleck & Robert Patterson, never understood how they both got picked as Batman....both are extremely boring :conf:. Yeah I'll have to check out Thelma and Louise, it's one of those movies I keep saying I should watch:wavey: . |

I went to see it. The racing scenes are really impressive, with the music, sound and visuals.
The film is long at 2 and a half hours. Sometimes I felt it. In terms of the realism it's not too bad. All the real-life drivers are in it although I don't think any of them get any speaking lines.. Some of the team principles get a few lines. The bit which stretched credibility was when Brad Pitt started using tactics on track that reminded me when Nelson Piquet Jr crashed deliberately to help the team at the Singapore Grand Prix. In real life that would cause a massive controversy and he'd be getting banned etc. There is a commentary during races by David Croft and Martin Brundle from Sky. They basically explain what is going on for people who have never watched the sport before - eg. the first time is an explanation of the formation lap. I thought there was a way they could have explained stuff and made it sound more natural. Also qualifying is completely ignored which I thought was a bit of an odd choice. |
