We're heading that way. Government isn't doing anything about the rising knife and gun crime.

Two tier policing

What's your thoughts on this?
Police acting differently to protests from English people and the ones from other communities.
Ever get the feeling you're a second class citizen? I'm starting to get it :suspect:

No, you’re being delusional

There certainly seems to be a difference in how some protests are handled

Riots in Leeds...no riot police
Riots in Southport - riot police

of course some people will turn a blind eye to this and pretend its not happening,

Not seen you in the Huw Edwards thread Liam, you used to defend him to the hilt

Beso 01-08-2024 08:44 AM

There 100 percent is.

Take last night for instance in central london..the met brought in a section 61, which banned people from walking in the road as well as standing on the pavement.. they vigorously enforced it and arrested over 100 people, randomers included

Yet every saturday we see traffic stopped, roads closed and pro palestinian lefties walking up the roads in their hundreds..

Liam can bury his head in the sand all he wants if he wants to ignore the facts..

Crimson Dynamo 01-08-2024 08:46 AM

hmmmm tricky question this

Have a look at this recent clip: https://x.com/Lewis_Brackpool/status...05776363712967

and then think back to Leeds.......

Yes that's exactly my point. Thank you

Also riots in London : riot police. They even arrested some poor old deer who only went to show support for the three girls who died.
Police was very heavy handed and it was not necessary at all.

Crimson Dynamo 01-08-2024 09:03 AM

London last night "Pick anyone out"

Arresting people doing nothing so that the POlice can say "Police arrested 10 people" and their MSM partners can say "10 far right thugs arrested"

It creates a distraction from what really went on in Southport and at the BBC

video is here: https://x.com/Worldsource24/status/1818770822720635139

Just heard ALL the protesters referred to as Far Right on LBC news ...crazy

Ammi 01-08-2024 09:28 AM

…I’m not going to assume ‘two tier policing’ because i honestly don’t know how accurate that would be…again, without knowing details and specifics etc…the riots in Leeds seemed to be a very spontaneous thing which stemmed from a local family/social services situation… so not something that riot policing was prepared for in the same way as the ‘internet/social media’ pre arranged Southport gathering…?…which the local residents said themselves, this is not us…their purpose of gathering was the vigil but there were other agendas involved and that was gathered in pace and purpose on social media, I feel…

…I also think it’s more layered and not one size fits all as the London riots were around Downing Street …there has always been and will always be a heavier official/police presence for those high profiles who reside there and for their safety …I mean, in America …what began as an apparent social media/internet organised protest or riot, ended with a breaking into on Capital Hill …so I’m guessing that where the rioting is, is a factor as well…not all policing is the same because not all events and incidents and all other factors are not all the same, I’m thinking is also to be factored…

The government refused to acknowledge that there is a problem.
They can't be all far right. Some of them are genuinely concerned citizens.

Well both have just been voted in by the electorate recently so I dont think that will happen, and I think we need to give Starmer time, Khan on the other hand needs to get a grip on knife crime in Capital, rather than taxing people into the ground

And some had popped to tesco for milk, but were kettled in for 5 hours by the police.

And ammi, calling last night at downing street a riot, just says how the narrative they want to put out is working..

I'm glad I'm more wise to what's happening cause last nights live streams proved it is exactly what the thread is about..even the lowly PCs, were disgusted and confused as to why it was happening.

Yes I have heard the protests in London and Manchester last night referred to as riots in the same breath as Hartlepool....not all protesters are rioters......dont tar everyone with the same brush...where have we heard that before

Vanessa 01-08-2024 09:55 AM

Police have been caught on camera saying : Just pick anyone.
Khan needs to go. He has turned London into a jungle.

Vanessa 01-08-2024 10:01 AM

Most of them were just standing there so not violent but were arrested anyway.
They should all sue for wrongful arrest.

If they do sue, mark Rowley has just cost the taxpayer another easy 250 grand in legal fees for the police.

Disgusting, absolutely disgusting.

Disgusting, absolutely disgusting.

I'm all for it. It needs to be done.

Livia 01-08-2024 10:41 AM

Disturbing how it's police in shirt sleeves for one group and police in riot gear for another.

Yes. I really hope these people sue. They have committed no crime.
