Doesn't look like it's be any of the really "big" Soap names based on what's been said, mentioning role(s) plural and saying he's worked with some of the biggest stars, suggest it's not a "life-long" household name soap star (like an Ian Beale or Phil Mitchel etc.). If it was a household name it would be huge news. If it's someone who has been in a few big temporary character roles then not so much. Though the severity of the crimes is no different, obviously.

it's a really bad look for the BBC, even if it was outsourced to a production company, they will be tarnished yet again

[Police seized computers and documents as they arrested him on suspicion of sex crimes against teenage boys. They were seeking evidence relating to the alleged abuse of five victims by the star.] [His family, including his partner, were left stunned by his arrest and he is also understood to be shocked by the historical allegations, which he denies.] |

In the UK people are innocent until PROVEN guilty. |

And in the UK that means that the teen boys were 13-15 years old. And to be crude about it for a second, if the Actor's semen is found to be in a 13 year old in a place where it shouldn't be, then it's not looking good. I normally am similar to your stance when it comes to other sorts of crimes, but potential Paedophilia tends to be easier to prove. If it turns out that he is innocent then I do apologize, and the people making false claims are horrible people under that scenario. |

If it does turn out to be complete and utter lies, then I will be angry, because it makes it harder for the justice system and future juries to know who's genuinely guilty of committing a sexual offense. |

I agree with all you've said there Livia. Very strong points all through. |

I've always agreed with that Livia. In fact I'd go further, I'd like to see those liars who do make false claims, punished far more severely than they currently are and that's IF they even did get punished at all. Plus they should be named and shamed publicly too, in my view |

Mmmm Kevin Spacey was probably my favourite actor for many years BEFORE the scandals … :::: Plus :::: Spacey, whose alleged misconduct was also the subject of a recent documentary called Spacey Unmasked, admitted to Morgan that he had been “too handsy” in his past, “touching someone sexually in a way that I didn’t know at the time they didn’t want.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

He's been acquitted in courts of law in both the UK and the USA. That's good enough for me. |
