Tbf DS only had Ali on 38% to win on their poll.

And in the actual vote there were 48.1% that didn't vote for Ali, and she was the kind of Housemate that you either loved or hated (except for myself as I was more in the middle) but I'm guessing that most of that 48.1% weren't keen on her, which is a lot of people not to like you.

I mean even out of 6 HMs 48% being the minority is insane. Usually where there are multiple people in a vote a winner wins even where there are still more people who didn't want them to win that did. In this case that is not the case. Amazing.

Oh, I'm not denying that her vote is incredible out of 9 people to be polling such a large percentage, because that would be sour grapes to deny that.

I'm just saying to Zizu that Ali's detraction base is a bit bigger than he might be thinking.

Oh I agree, in terms of posts across forums I saw more negative stuff towards Ali than positive, yet all polls said differently, which I found odd and which why I wasn't confident she would win, because she had a lot of people disliking her from the optics of threads and posts. Even on this site, there were only a few people speaking positively about her compared to those not yet the poll aways had Ali at the top. Weird!

Surely getting 38% with ALL the rest sharing 62% is impressive !?!

The others averaged about 5%

Wasn't my first choice but was definitely a worthy winner out of the last 8 or 9

MTVN 16-11-2024 09:13 AM

Ali - 51.9%
Marcello - 48.1%

Within the margin of error

Delulu, she bent marshmallow over and you know it:

joeysteele 16-11-2024 10:47 AM

They said she had 51.9% out of the 9 that were left.
What the final tally is between her and Marcello we don't know.
Or have I missed the publication of that.

However I'd doubt he'd pick up every single vote of the other 7 housemates who were placed lower.
While hers never moved.
Plus if it was only 51.9 to Marcello 48.1.
Then they'd have been saying repeatedly the vote was getting very close.
However it was never indicated the vote was closed never mind very close.

They haven't published the Ali V Marcello figure. I think the 51.9% figure was out of Six, since Friday's voting opened?

It was out of 9. As the vote to win started with 9 of them as was never reset.

Being realistic, it is between the top 2 for vote share, because they were the ones with multiple opportunities to vote

She didn’t get 51.9% of the vote between her and Marcello, she got 51.9% of the Vote to Win since last Friday, out of all 9 housemates.

Tbh from what I saw she was equally polarising across all platforms. She had a lot of fans but also a lot of people who thought she was evil incarnate, I'm just glad her fans managed to come through in the end.

I think a big part of it was that her fans were focused on her (as were Lily's, who also had a sizeable fanbase), the votes from the people who disliked her were scattered.

As much as they were friends, I think Lily and Ali needed each other to go to win. If they had both made the final week I reckon Marcello would have clinched the win. If Ali has been evicted over Lily, I reckon Lily would have got the win.

I think the only 4 contenders were ever only going to be Lily, Ali, Marcello and Khaled.

Oh wow! I thought AJ said since the votes opened Friday.

Edit: Oh wait that was including 9... never, I am being dense

Marcello had 28% on DS at the top 6 round.

But yes any lead is impressive, as it's not easy to win Big Brother.

I think that the Ali detractors were just more vocal, which made it seem like they were the majority.

Especially because there was at least 30% of the public that I think did dislike Ali.

BBXX 19-11-2024 04:34 PM

Here are the final percentages. I am assuming BP came last because Sarah and Thomas had an extra couple of days worth of votes post her eviction?

Very wrong. Marcello only got like 20

I was taking the mick a bit with that comment but he did have a much bigger gap over Emma than I thought

GoldHeart 19-11-2024 05:10 PM

All that hype ,and Hanah was nowhere near. I wonder if the crypto gang...we're just drunk or something. Or maybe alot of support ,was from people who couldn't vote.
