The breaking strain is measured in tonnes so it would be very unlikely
You could probably cut through half the harness and it still wouldn’t fail

But considering it was dean doing the challenge it wouldn’t matter if it snapped :joker:

There was a vote, it opened just before the show ended

I don't like the way he talked down to Alan, :fist: but I give Dean credit for that trial he did.

Ten stars, very good. And the height - wow, I couldn't even use a step ladder! :joker:

He was brilliant in this. I would have struggled.

I am always amazed at anyone who isn't afraid of heights.

I was never scared of heights at all until a gale started when I was at the top of a 15’ fir tree ..

I was being thrown all over the place … I dropped the saw , closed my eyes and held on for dear life until the wind dropped

I have been terrified of heights ever since

I've always been terrified of heights. And when I mean heights, yes I mean 70 feet high and more, but I am not joking when I say a step ladder. It's the fear of falling off. Even when wallpapering I look down like I am looking down from a great height. :hee:

That legend Fred Dibnah, I cannot look at him up high on those chimneys without my stomach turning.:shocked:

My cousin was one of Fred’s best friends for decades but I only discovered that a few years ago !!

Fred was one of my favourite telly people and I still watch his old shows to this day

It does however mean that I could have been hanging out with him for all those years

What could have been. Wow.

Fred was a TV natural because he was a genuine hard working man. It's tragic how the women in his life tried and succeeded in fleecing him of his money. And his gravestone isn't up to much. He deserved better.

He worked hard all his life and died not that old. But still he is remembered warmly by fans.

I have seen a series where he travels around England looking at old machinery/ engines / factories

Absolutely fascinating when he explains how fabulous the engines/ machines were
