There's been a load of weird rumours on social media, including that he was cut out by a mate of a mate who was local and also that he was saved by not wearing a seatbelt because he was thrown backwards

Whatever happened, definitely very lucky

Mystic Mock 07-12-2024 09:00 PM

I'm glad to hear that he is stable.

COYI67 and Big_Dick_Mick both said it and I'm inclined to trust those guys

According to the BBC, Sly News and Channel 4 he crashed due to COVID denying Reform voters out protesting with Farmers due to Bovaer in milk.

So I'm inclined to believe that tbh

….such an horrific crash…as MTVN said, he’s alive, though…there is much for him to process through his recovery, so much for him to go through emotionally, as well as physically…but he’s able to do that because he has his life and people who love him and who will be there through his recovery journey…such a thankful thing that there was no loss of life with this horrific incident…

Cherie 08-12-2024 10:08 AM

The state of the car on a straight road as well, he must have been really shoeing it, thankfully he only injured himself

Crimson Dynamo 08-12-2024 12:26 PM

So he was trapped for more than 45 mins until fire crew came and cut him out
He suffered serious injuries with multiple fractures to his legs. Sources close to the player say he is lucky to be alive.

I read yesterday he had a broken leg, doubt we will see him again this season if ever on a pitch again

i've driven about a dozen different super cars in my time, and the one thing they have in common is that when you drive them, it's next to impossible not to speed. It's a wonderful thrill to drive them but ......

He's 34 and was out of contract in the summer so I imagine this is it for him, he'll probably rather go into media and coaching now than try and restart playing down the leagues

Saying that wouldn't be surprised if Lopetegui sticks him on the bench tomorrow night

bots 08-12-2024 03:26 PM

I would say Antonia has more chance of playing again than luke shaw

…he was apparently on the passenger side when he was found so I’m not sure about being thrown backwards…

…he’s apparently recovering well from his leg surgery…he’s so fortunate that he’s able to look into the faces of his children this Christmas…

so is every one else on the road that day and anyone that witnessed that crash wont forget it in a hurry, that section of road is two lane, narrow with lots of bends, its a miracle no one was killed, at 34 and with 4 kids, he should be well over the boy racer stage

…yeah, when I said earlier that it’s thankful that there was no loss of life involved in such an horrific crash, I meant as in no other vehicles/pedestrians etc involved…not just his own life…

…and obviously not one to be taken at speed…(…not that any roads are but you know what I mean…)…it really is a miracle that he’s able to look into the faces of his children and breathe each day going forward in his recovery and that this recklessness hasn’t taken anyone away from their loved ones right now…this is so not the ‘storyline’ that is often given to these things but it’s the thankfully for him, the one that he’s been given…

Unfortunately I think that this is the most likely scenario.
