There were some really good/good new entries for me in this last batch (as you can tell by my personal rankings,) but there were a lot of godawful Albums too.

I mean what was up with Bad Omens and Sleep Token in particular?:umm2:

I'm trying not to be too mean about the Albums, but they were excruciatingly bad imo, it felt like TikTok brainrot, AI technology, and Whoever wrote Cleaner all merged together and these two Albums were born out of it.

Because my favourite individual song could be on a more average Album overall for my personal taste.

She won the Country Music Album of the Year for this album Golden Hour - apparently only the second woman apart from Dolly Parton to achieve that honour !!

Then when she released the follow up album last year it was apparently refused entry into the Country Album of Year competition as they deemed it to be more like pop music than country …

The male dominated country music industry circled their wagons to keep her out
