People are soon to forget those that killed themselves when their benefits got stopped
The governments are scum |
Stop spending millions on immigrants that have no right to be in the country and take care of your people
This country is fked |
immigrants aren't the problem, illegal immigrants are, but every body wants to fudge that very important detail for their own agendas

I then said...makes sense in a sarcastic way, its not like cutting their benefits is suddenly going to make them work ready.... |
Starmer dodged the question from Ed Davey when asked if Labour would not cut benefits to those who have limited work capability..

…and it’s also more difficult and more of a struggle to get a diagnosis for a child because an autism diagnosis for instance will lead to extra funding/support being provided for the child and parents/depending on their specific needs…and as you know through having personal experience, early diagnosis in a child without that struggle and delays etc is so, so important …. |

I know two people on benefits.
One is aged 43 and gets just under £400 per MONTH on Universal Credit. He has to provide proof each month he is looking for work. The other one is aged 28 and on some kind of disability benefits but goes running every day and I always see him laughing so I don't know what his disability is that stops him looking for work. I'm told by a friend of another friend he's on £375 PER WEEK and doesn't have to look for work. Not sure why he needs more money than the other guy but nothing adds up. |

It’s people’s entitlement to know everything about someone in situations like this. Unless it concerns you, it’s best to keep it out of your business. |

The thing is this is nothing really new for Labour - I've been a "jobseeker" precisely once in my life for around 5-6 months (leaving Uni in early 20's, jobless and with a kid on the way lol) but I was just-so-lucky-enough that the timeframe coincided with the pre-2009 Labour govt.'s "New Deal" scheme. It was absolutely fkn horrible. An absolute shambles. I was absolutely ecstatic to get out of there and into any work (which at the time was weekend cashier at the bookies - boy did I not expect that to eventually be 10 years of my life :joker: ). Anyway my point really - I think some would take this as "evidence" that these things "encourage" people to get into work, but I only did "New Deal" for 3-4 weeks before I got out, and I was already slipping badly into hopelessness/frustration/not a good mental state. I consider myself lucky that I only got a "glimpse" of that world. If I'd been there for months? I reckon each passing week would have made it less likely that I'd be suitable for work, not more.

[An absolute shambles.]
