She is in the entertainment business and well, for some people this is their entertainment... is it my cup of tea? No.

If I were in Mickey's shoes, it wouldn't bother me. He probably couldn't care less. Not everything is bullying and sensitive levels do vary. So I respect that some people may see that and think it's very hurtful... especially those sensitive for the elderly. But I don't see Mickey as elderly in an infirm way. I think he's mentally capable and perfectly able to understand what is going on around him, but he has some obstacles others don't have to deal with. And why should he worry about what other people might think? He's 72.

He gets lost going to and returning from the flamin’ diary room !!

You can't remember ever feeling so uncomfortable? Really?

Would she have done the same thing to her ageing uncle who she liked and respected - them prolonged it when it was obvious that he had no clue they were making him look pathetic ?

I think not

If you wanted to drive the ‘Jo Jo is mean to the homophobic man who implied he’d tie her up to change her sexuality’ train - I think an ‘unkind prank’ would be the last stop. But even that is a stretch.

See your take on what happened a few days ago is quite ridiculous so we will never agree on this point .

Tell me you would be happy if that was your old father being made to look ridiculous

I await your reply …

But once he found out, he looked more alive than he has ever done in the past 20 years.

The smile in itself said it all. It was a lovely moment for both him and Jojo.

I know you've got your teeth into this, but you truly aren flogging a dead horse in this one.

Good morning though.:wavey:

Your opinion isn’t relevant..,

AnnieK 12-04-2025 07:45 AM

You can't justify him "making a joke" to her then vilify for her playing a joke on him. Its just hypocritical.

Before you ask, no it wouldn't make me uncomfortable if she did it to my Dad (who is 78). He, and I would find it hysterical, and Mickey looked quite amused by it when he found out

But not for younger people with different sexual orientations who feel upset when they believe they are targeted for that eh?

She isn’t 72 with neurological issues

Answer honestly.. how would you feel if you were at a party and you noticed a small group of complete strangers making your ageing , confused uncle look completely ridiculous ?

She is a bright young thing not a 72 year old man who gets lost in the BB house and needs help after leaving the diary room

If he is that vulnerable, the BB house is not for him.

So I am not allowed to share a deadly serious opinion on something seen on a reality show without being mocked by a MODERATOR.

Is that where we are at now

We all see and experience events quite differently ..

I watch all these youtube clips showing people having accidents , clearly getting hurt and I cringe and my heart sinks , my stomach churns … other people think the clips are absolutely hilarious

Well that was clearly obvious from the get go , surely.

He presents as brain damaged boxer which is exactly what he is .. all compounded by decades of excessive drinking and drug taking

No it isn't bullying.
I can understand that it seemed a bit unkind.

Bullying is now a word widely used inappropriately in my view.
Just look at someone the wrong way now and it's seen as bullying.
Ridiculous.

What happened here however was Micky was the only one not to see her appearance changed.
All the others had.
So he was the only one they could try it out on.
No one disagreed, no one objected.

Did he not suspect anything or did he just go along with it
Who knows.
Either way it was a bit of fun, far from making him look foolish, it actually showed him a good sport as to it.
Because he found it humerous once revealed.

Age shouldn't come into this.
They are ALL equal housemates.
Relieving a lot of boredom in the house must be very important at times.

What I liked was the inclusion of them all in the change of appearance and Micky clearly not bothered or offended at all by it either.
So no , no bullying.

If it had say been my Dad or my Grandad, well I think knowing how my Dad and Grandad were, they would have found it hilarious.

…I’m not sure what you’re defining as ‘loads of people’, Zizu…but I can’t see that this is a widely shared perspective in terms of media articles or even discussion points/threads on BB forums…what you’ve quoted…?…is that the eviction show discussion thread on DS…?…that’s barely a handful of posts and the type of posts often found in that vibe of thread because it’s all quick posting without time for much thought as the episode is airing…
