And comments like this are really disrespectful, if you haven’t got anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all.

It's a performance... it's real in aspects, but it involves a lot of physical prowess and the fights are not faked completely in the sense that there's been quite a few injuries (including long-term CBE) that come from it. We can't say that about other forms of theater, so there is a line between it and traditional acting... it's only meant to entertain though and provide fan service... kind of like following an Idol in Japan.

…another icon, he always showed such humour in his wrestling as well……he’d apparently had surgeries recently, I hadn’t known that health wasn’t great in recent times…

This news drew me back here. Huge news, watched and loved wrestling all my life. Still have 5 VHS tapes dedicated to him, and have been watching WWF/WCW 96-2001 currently.

Don't watch current stuff, but yeah, huge!

Also, just wanna say, i never really liked Hogan as a wrestler or a human being, but nevertheless, you can't take away what he did for the business.

RIP

Yes, that was Hulk at his best... that's how I choose to remember him, also. He was one of the first icons I became acquainted and understanding what that means... So many people had his posters and other famous wrestlers on their walls, etc. He was truly something.

Yeah i was a 90's wrestling super fan. Recently discovered the 90's and watching them all back, the nostalgia warms my heart. Watching them all on VHS too, i have a ridiculous collection.

He is the reason why wrestling is what it today, hands down. Again, was never a fan really, and his past trials and tribulations don't paint him as a good person. But yes, no taking away from who he was for the wrestling business.

RIP Brother, and thank you for the happiness you and all the other wrestlers brought me in childhood.

Pop culture icon.

Love live HULKAMANIA, brother!

RIP :(

i liked him

i also like his daughter Brooke btw, whom i'm familiar with also from that film 2 Headed Shark Attack

apparently Hulk recently had married for a 3rd time, 2 years ago to a Sky Daily

for his line of work, and kinda stressful lifestyle of controversial outspoken opinions, as well as many lawsuits he faced throughout his life, 71 is a nice age, but its also not very old

+ i also think he drank quite some in his life, mere speculation maybe but what i think, and i'm not sure how much of that muscle is natural or if he also used enhancement steroids  that to me would also worsen your health i think

but anyway very sad, he seemed so nice, a real showman

loved seeing him that one time on Pawn Stars as well :D

RIP, a true icon of the 80's/90's.

Been a bad couple of weeks for celebrity deaths

Vanessa 25-07-2025 08:24 AM

Oh no. I absolutely loved him as a kid. Was a massive wrestling fan and he was brilliant.
