Exactly. You don’t pair a Cartier with a bargain ring. He was always going to go big, anything less would have looked cheap next to that watch. The fact he asked her dad’s permission and they’ve kept it just between them for two weeks makes it even sweeter. They’re such a lovely couple, you can see how much he treasures her.

…I imagine that the pressure of celebrity on a relationship adds a huge layer as well and Taylor Swift does seem to have an extraordinarily huge following and interest, which has catapulted him into something that’s another world as well, I do wish them both so much positivity in navigating their lives together in terms of public pressures, you know…

…tbh, I don’t keep up with the world of celebrity very much and until the engagement, I wasn’t even aware that her guy was a football player…/…I did know that she was in a relationship fairly long term but that was all…but just catching up a bit since the engagement, I have read a few bits and Travis Kelce seems to be very popular and liked and admired within his sport and the Chief fans…./…as we all know that Taylor is with her own fans…a huge devoted love for them within each of their celebrity thing…?…so to play in a sporting term, their relationship feels very much like a game of two equal halves…


…sadly, so negative is the current world that it won’t even accept joy when it’s displayed…

Well put. He’s at the top of his sport and hugely respected, she’s at the top of music with an unmatched connection to her fans. It really does feel like two equals coming together. The negativity says more about the world than it does about them, because you can’t fake the joy and support they show each other. A lot of it is just jealousy too, certain men and women can’t stand her because Cankles McTaco Tits didn’t get her endorsement. They’ll dismiss what an amazing artist she is and try to drag her down to their level, but the success and the love she gets speak louder than their bitterness

…no they are no better or worse in that descriptive, I agree…but they do…(…Taylor in particular…)…have huge fame, which in itself creates a public interest as celebrity always has done…and when it’s good/more joyful news like this, then it tends to create a positive balance as well to all of the more sad and rubbish world events…I’m not invested personally as such as I’m not familiar with Travis Kelce in his sport and I’m not a particular Taylor fan, although I do appreciate her success and achievements….but it’s a lovely balance to world news to see a couple in love officially announcing a future together…so I guess that I’m embracing and celebrating nice weird in a world of rubbish weird…
