I don't think Disco intends to be mean, but is perhaps being a little insensitive. However, he is perfectly entitled to dislike her and to state that publicly- but perhaps another thread?

It's good that we can discuss a range of things on a forum when the mood takes us, but people are equally entitled to not always feel like it. We all have our individual reasons for using this or any other forum. Exchange of ideas can be very useful, and one I often appreciate, but fun and escapism is perfectly legitimate too.

I like a mixture, and I hope we can respect both, even if we don't always join in with the other.

I thought 2 pages would be full of people expressing a bit of sympathy and it has turned into a bit of an argumentnt.

I would like to send out my heartfelt sympathy to the Royal Family, no matter who the person is, death is never nice, for anyone. May she rest in peace.
I found the Queen Mother to be a lovely person and all this talk about her being racist & not a nice person comes as a complete shock to me.

For the record, I'm not asking anyone to suppress views but just know when to comment and when not to so not to offend anyone.

i felt that the queen mum was a lovely lady and always seemed to have a smile on her face, :xyxwave: my heart goes out to the queen, loosing her mother and sister in such a short space of time and in her golden jubilie. Although i am not a fan of the royal family it is still a national loss.

That is indeed sad news, not a complete surprise by any means, but esepcially sad for the Queen who has lost her sister and now her mother in the sapce of a few weeks.

Is anyone thinking about going to the funeral at all? I went to Hyde Park for Diana, Princess of Wales' funeral and found it incredibly moving.

I got incredibly annoyed with our local public transport body Nexus, as their Nexus flag was flying full from their new HQ.
