I've played copyrighted music before on my podcasts because like you say I think how many record companies are likely to bother with a small-time comedy podcast but I only play copyrighted music rarely just in case. I think having a show full of copyrighted music could lead to problems.

Copyright issues shouldn't be a problem as it's a one off show. Get your song requests and shoutouts coming in. The more the better, we can make a better show if you request and shoutout more.
