I'll join, I did start up a Rhydian dislike club but it's that old, no-one probably noticed it http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/foru....php?tid=74002

Lets trounce the "Rhydian rocks" fan club!!!

Tom 25-11-2007 12:16 PM

The X Factor is looking for someone who can be a global superstar and follow in the footsteps of Leona Lewis who is on track to do just that (and so is Shayne as well). By Rhydian winning, he will get 1 number 1 single and 1 number 1 album, then he will fall out of the mainstream charts and be a success in the classical world- much like Dannii Minogue in the dance world.

He has no long term career in the mainstream charts, although he will stick around. The X Factor is looking for someone who will still be hitting the top 5 or above in 5 years time, not someone who will release 1 or 2 singles then leave the mainstream charts. That is a waste of £1,000,000.

The only ones who could realistically get a good long term career from the remaining 5 are Leon and Hope.

I also think Simon will sign up Same Difference after his comments last night, but they will eventually end up on a Pop Party album and people will begin to laugh at them and think they are a novelty act until they vanish.

I was looking for it but it must have dropped out of sight. Shall we merge the two membership lists and make the one club?

Welcome to the club.

We just need 4 more members and we have equalled the rival club!

Red Moon 25-11-2007 06:36 PM

Just done a banner for the club if anyone has space to use it.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...wizzy/Rhyd.jpg

Feel free to change the text as long as it has the words "Rhydian Sucks" in the text.

Maybe some graphic artist in the club could make one of those thin ones people seem to use as well.

Why shouldn't he win? Who says this is about pop music? Surely if it was about creating a pop star the show would not let the over 25's enter.

I don't see the point you guys are trying to make. The show is called the X-Factor not pop idol and is supposed to give people who don't have the chance an opportunity to become brofessional singers.:bored:

in that case sign me up :) lol

Red Moon 26-11-2007 01:31 PM

What's a brofessional? Is it slang for a professional brother?

Yes. The X-Factor to me is about creating a star. Someone who will appeal to the masses and become really successful. A superstar if you like. Rhydian is not it imo.

If they want someone to appeal to the masses then why do they let 40 years old apply?

I have no idea. I also think that they should not have lowered the age limit this year. Just my opinion of course.

So, would you prefer it to be more like American Idol? I would too.

Because people beyond the age of 25 buy music too. Rhydian is not fit for the pop charts - he's a classically trained opera singer. This point has been done to death, but that's the key element. It's why Ray got slated last year, because he was singing like Frank Sinatra every week. Should that have been a criticism? No. That's a good talent to have. But it doesn't sell in the pop charts - illustrated clearly by the fact he's disappeared.

Red Moon 26-11-2007 05:16 PM

Welcome to you latest two new members Ann and Sky-and-Tay.

A good point. I totally agree but MrLuvaLuva thinks that this show should appeal to the masses. If so then why are there so many categories. Why dont they just pick the best twelve acts regardless of whether they're Male, female, over 25 or a group.
