But of course Anotexia is something really sad and nobody should joke about that. But personally I wasn't laughing at both Nikki and at these girls who suffer of Anorexia cause it's something dramatically terrible but when you read this in first place or when you watch a scene like that is quite funny.
But if you laugh at Nikki knowing that she's anorexic, it's quite sad indeed.
That's the big difference.

It was the same type of situation: you read it you can find it funny but when you think about it, it's rather sad, discuting and completely out of order.

So, you're not laughing at anorexia, but you laughing at what people do when they suffer from anorexia ... oh right, I understand :rolleyes:

When either read or watch and you don't know what the person suffers then you can find it funny.
But if you know the predicament of the person then you shouldn't laugh at it of course.

I read the whole article on the NOW website after I posted that, I admit it.
Of course I knew it but she admitted she is fine now and after all the silly things she made, I haven't made the link between that and anorexia.
The thing is, it's sad she is still ill, it's definately not easy for her.

My mother has extreme OCD illness, it takes her an hour to wash her face and brush her teeth, she has a plate and cup of her own, she wont touch the door handle because she thinks she will catch germs, I can see where your coming, its just cheap to laugh at it.

Arneldo, if you posted an extract saying she'd eaten toilet paper without mentioning her illness, the fact that "eating toilet paper" would be considered bizarre is somewhat misleading if you're going to jump down people's throats for not reading the whole thing.

I thought she'd made a recovery. It's a shame. I hope she gets better soon.

How is it misleading, Anerld gave the link to the article which it explained, and even after reading it, those two inconsiderate posters chose to ignore the actual content and saying how amusing it is.

The story aint true, I thought I confirmed it in my original post, plus none of Nikki's friends or her were interviewed, just look at the pic she looks happy.

Because the thread is entitled "Nikki spotted eating wet loo paper", and the 3 sentences which are quoted in the OP mention NOTHING about anorexia/bulimia. Not everybody will want to read the whole story, as it doesn't exactly sound thrilling, but with a title like that people are bound to think "what the hell? Nikki's been eating toilet paper?"

I'm glad it isn't true though. I'd thought she was well nowadays.

Fair enough. If they still think it's funny after reading the whole thing, then that is quite offensive.

You only have to read the amount of time they posted saying its still amusing, the content explained that Anorexia/bulimia do those sort of things, but because its Nikki its alright to take pee out of her, not taking into account that they are not just hurting Nikki but also other sufferers.

Thank you for this, at least one agrees. It was just a misunderstanding so nobody laughs at anorexia of course.
