I dont think people should simply accept abuse. That is definitely NOT a step forward. You said that David Beckham received abuse and took it on the chin. To the best of my knowledge Lewis Hamilton has done the same

The reason I compare golf to F1 is bacause of the prescence of Tiger Woods. Lewis Hamilton could be F1's Tiger Woods. That is what so many people are hoping.

There is only one moderately successful black driver in the world. I dont think that has happened by chance. Lewis has a lot riding on his career.

He has to take it on the chin Sunny. What else do you suggest? An enquiry? I agree the Spanish people taunting him were idiots but I fail to see how they broke the law. Launching an enquiry would be pointless.

I’d rather enquiries like that be saved for the many more serious cases of abuse we have.

And Girth, I knew he'd take it on the chin. I bet he doesn't give a sh*t what a couple of spanish people think. He's a successful british F1 driver, they only made themselves look stupid.

Now if one of them had tried assualting him, It'd be a different matter altogether.

Incidently, does anyone know if they shouted any racist comments? If so it should be treated more seriously. If they were just stood there with the brown makeup and t-shirts, I fail to see how they could be charged really.

They did break the law Matt, racism is illegal so yes I do suggest more is done to support him as a driver and a human being. whether they were racist in their actions or with words is wrong on an equal level. I cant agree that saying racist words and dressing as a black person can be seen as 2 different things. Racism is racism regardless of how it happened.

Why should we always just sit back and accept the terrible behaviour of other people.

And yeah it should be the same regardless of whether it's words or actions but it's not a perfect world and that's not how the law works. I already agreed that 'I' thought it was wrong, just fail to see how it would be illegal?

I'm sure F1 just want to be seen as an inclusive organisation.
