Perfectly healthy, perfectly normal, everyone does it.

Retroman 07-04-2008 03:34 PM

I have a funny story about how I started out on the road to self pleasuring...
But this is neither the time nor place for it.

I think it is healthy, can't possibly be unhealthy.
Although I do remember hearing possible major downsides to over masturbating, something to do with an illness you can get from it.

And I think the majority of boys do it, girls on the other hand seem a little half and half.

Some girls think the idea of masturbation is disgusting, or claim it just does nothing for them. Some do it every night...whereas I think almost all boys do it.

Okay Heres My View On It.

Its Normal. Its Good. Its Part of Nature(I Think). And... Thats It :D

God I'm not going to post an opinin as this is the wrong subject to put on a fourm.

Retroman 07-04-2008 04:30 PM

I don't see why anyone is against the subject...
Freedom of speech and such.

It's not as though we're talking about bondage sessions.
Masturbation is as common place as breathing almost, and it's not as though we're all sat here giggling over the fact we masturbate.

It's being discussed seriously, in a serious debates forum.
Sounds fair to me.

I don't see the problem with the thread. In this country we are far too repressed when it come to talking about sex. And we wonder why we have the highest teen pregnancy rate in Europe.

Ok, is it the fact they are talking about sex or the way they are talking about it?

Retroman 07-04-2008 04:50 PM

There's a new programme on BBC Three named: Dis/Connected...
Which is about college students and their lives mainly.

It's not a documentary or anything, it's like a kind of soap opera, like Skins if you will.

Anyhow, the girls in that are ridiculously "slack" as you might like to call it.
The things they talk about and do, make out that every girl on the planet is just sex addicted.

Comments such as "I wouldn't sleep with him, what do you think I am? A slut? I just tossed him off...his c*ck was bent! I wouldn't sit on that"

=/

If this is how most of us are really talking, then this topic should mean nothing.

Matt08 07-04-2008 04:53 PM

Tom 07-04-2008 04:58 PM

Are you scared of sex or talking about it?

Dr43%er 07-04-2008 04:59 PM

Well if you don't like it then that is fine. I just feel it is healthy to talk about stuff.
Just as a mater of interest I looked round for articles on the benefits of masturbation and I was shocked by some of the beliefs held by some young people as they had never talked about it in an open way. Just hearsay from mates. This can't be right in this modern age.

Erotophobia is a term used by psychologists to describe sexuality on a personality scale. Erotophobes score high on one end of the scale that is characterized by expressions of guilt and fear about sex. Erotophobes are less likely to talk about sex, have more negative reactions to sexually explicit material, and have sex less frequently and with fewer partners over time. In contrast, erotophiles score high on the opposite end of the scale, erotophilia, which is characterized by expressing less guilt about sex, talking about sex more openly, and holding more positive attitudes toward sexually explicit material.

Genophobia (also known as coitophobia[1]) is the fear of sexual intercourse. This phobia may be caused by actual sexual trauma (such as rape or molestation especially at an early age) or by witnessing a traumatic sexual act in real life or in the media.[2] Some fear their own sexual drives threaten a sense of self-control. Others may simply find the idea of sexual activity to be horrifying or disgusting and shun it.

Not all instances of genophobia are irrational. Some women may have once experienced vaginismus which results in pain during sex. Even after treatment some demonstrate a reluctance to engage in intercourse.
