ITV were on an average of 4.0m and BBC1 just over 4.5million, so BB did do brilliant last night

So because ITV and BBC got more Big Brother did 'brilliant'?
Either way you look at it , 2.4 aint that hot. Even past Saturdays last year got much higher ratings.
|
No it shows not many people were watching TV on a whole last night so 2.4m on a night not many people aren't watching TV is great.
To be that close to BBC1 and ITV1 on a Saturday is a big achievement and the weeknight shows look like they will do really well.

TV ratings are judged AGAINST EACH OTHER not on how many people overall are in watching TV. And judged against THE OTHER NETWORKS BB still lost out pretty bad , no matter what the overall viewers in tele land were that night. Its pointless making excuses. And your in no position as an unofficial spokesperson for C4 to say they are 'happy' with them.
Just enjoy the show and stop constantly trying to defend BB ratings.

Its the highest Saturday night audience C4 have had in a long time
BB was very close to programs in the same slot as ITV1 and BBC1, C4 is never going to beat those channels on a Saturday night so it is an achievement getting that close
Just because other programs have got better ratings doesn't mean it did bad
It did well for C4 and to say ratings on a whole were down
BB probably got more 16-34's than any other program in that slot, thats what bring in the money from the advertisers.
I think it was a success last night.
If we are going to judge it against other programs in the same slot most highlight shows in Big Brother history would of be seen as doing badly.
