I also cried when the report was released that said Britney would only live for another six months if she carried on with her partying lifestyle.

I cried when Richard Hammond had his accident.
I didnt cry but was sad and close to tears when Mark Speight died, also sad about Heath Ledger to.

Sophii3x 23-07-2008 02:17 PM

Yes, when Delta Goodrem was diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago, I was only 12 and just completly devestated. Also when Steve Irwin died and when Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston broke up.

xDramatick 23-07-2008 02:28 PM

Not really.
Most of the celebs I like haven't done anything worth crying over.
The only times I remember are;

- Heath Ledger dying.
- John Barrowman's dogs dying.

Otherwise, that's all I can think of.
If anything happened to John Barrowman, Zac Efron, Aubrey O'Day or Christina Aguilera, I would pour with tears.

Was Gemma axed from EE? Well hopefully she'll come crawling back to Hollyoaks now.

I cried Sam read Chanelle's goodbye note when she left BB. I was totally devastated.

Also when I was little I cried when the Iron Giant died in the animatecd movie The Iron Giant.

Also when Steve Irwin died I had a tear in my eye.

Legend 23-07-2008 09:32 PM

I've really no empathy in comparrison to some of you. To me, producing genuine tears over somebody I've never met in my life, I just couldn't do it if I tried, I really wouldn't find that possible to do. Yeah, I'll give an "aww" if a celeb dies but nothing more.

MrGaryy 23-07-2008 09:38 PM

I really don't care about any clebe that much. but is Christina Aguilera or Paris Hilton ever died or soemthing I'd cry. i cried when Paris was sent to jail!

How so?
How is having an emotion SAD? Isn't it sad being a closed hard rock forever?
So when a little child dies and its on the news... are we sad to cry? When a Iraqi family dies in the war are we wrong to cry cause we never knew them? That is so stupid.

-
I cried about celebrities... let's see: When I saw Aaliyah's mother kiss her coffin on a documentary it hit me hard, I cried when I heard Joaquin Phoenix's 911 call as his brother was dying on the street, I cried over some Marilyn Monroe tributes. I cried about all kinds of things. Maybe I am just an emotional wreck, lol.

I cried on a few documentaries or movies about other celebrities who passed away or had been through a rough time. Over non deaths but just circumstances: I cried when Michael Jackson was vindicated because I followed the trial and felt he was being publicly ridiculed and no one ever thinks to give him a chance - they have him as a child molesting freak and they will never budge from that image. I see him in a different light, I suppose I'm in the minority that does.

Stop generalising. You can still have emotion. Some peolpe just dont cry for people they have never met. No big deal.

How am I generalizing?
Isn't calling someone SAD generalizing? Yep.

Very_Nayce 25-07-2008 05:34 PM

It is okay to cry if a celebrity has died or if you met a celebrity. It is okay to cry at entertainment on the television because it might have been designed to make you cry, but to cry because your favourite star ran into a spot of bother is a bit pathetic. Millions of people with millions less money run in to much worse problems everyday. Crying at a celebrity like that also demonstrates a level of obsession that suggests you probably need to get out more in life.

Not crying is fine, but calling people sad for crying is possibly the issue.

Nurse57 25-07-2008 05:35 PM

No. I did cheer when Charles Bronson died as it won me £76.

You are generalising because you are suggesting people who dont cry at those things you mentioned have no emotions. Easy.

Neither is an issue. Its all about opinion. I can call a certain person pathetic over crying for a certain thing and its my opinion, just like it is their opinion to cry.

Then surely the other person is generalising by saying those that cry are sad?

I never, ever said anyhting to the contrary?

Generalisation #1 : People that cry are sad.
Genralisation #2 : People that dont cry are void of emotion. What would you do if a newborn puppy was crushed by a statue of Saddam Hussein in Iraqs poorest villiage? ~ SATAN!

So as you can see, I took issue with what I believed to be the worst of the 2, and the one that conflicted with my own opinion.

Conor 25-07-2008 06:33 PM

Nope. I don't get to attached to any celebs out of what they're doing in media, so naturally I never find out what's been happening anyway.

And I know this sounds mean but I was almost laughing over some things people have cried about lol (No offence :P)
