I think Rex is very nasty, but he does it in a strangely attractive way, sometimes. He makes me laugh ... he's kind of hard core, don't care. Spending the precious shopping budget entirely on 'special prizes' for instance.

He is horrible to people like Rachel ... unforgiveably so .. but also, because I agree with the things he says, I half forgive him. There's no excuse for being blatantly nasty to someone who has never done any harm to him ... and yet, because Rachel's blandness annoys me too, I'm sort of guiltily happy when he is nasty to her.

With respect to Rachel, she takes it without breaking down ... I wish she would fight back more, but she is obviously not a spoilt princess like Nicole who can't take criticism.

I'm sure there is part of Rex which absolutely adores Rachel ... there is no other explanation for his detailed attention to her faults.

Yeah, but Rex is a strange one. The housemates mostly seem to really like him. Viewers can see he's a bit nasty, and yet, as Mikey perceptively pointed out, all the housemates worship him.

He commanded them all to go on a silent protest, and they complied, and made silent faces at each other when he was in the kitchen, like schoolkids behind the teacher's back.

Hilarious.
