And who cares if they mimed? We see them all sing live each week anyway. People moaning at the miming are just destroying the cause of the song. Forget how it was sung and appreciate the cause.
Well you would say that, your a britney fan. Miming is second nature to you.
My post wasn't even aimed at you alone, so that personal attack wasn't needed.
I am just saying, you dont care about miming as you are a fan of Britney. Thats her number one talent, when all I listen to is live singing and live bands, I find miming such a stupid thing. I mean how un talented do you have to be to mime? How rubbish do you have to be that you cant sing live? And dont even get me started that they have a hard time singing so much!
Look at some of the singers on west end they perform about 7/8 times a week, yet somehow they still manage to sing live! It seems so unprofessional when you mime...

They've also had months of practice.

I honestly don't see the big deal

Indierock&roll 26-10-2008 01:45 PM

Oh well in that case, Laura and Alexandra are fantastic at ventriloquism. Amazing how they didn't move their lips.

I personally didn't notice whether it was mimed or not, I was too busy wondering where Ruth and Daniel were. They do perform live every week, and I'm sure they were only miming it so that nobody messed up on the night and made it sound stupid in front of the servicemen and women.

FFS you lot are always looking for things to complain about. Yes, they played the studio version of the song. Most of them sang it as well, most people who mime, also sing anyways. SO what? The point of that single, is to sell as many as possible, and thats why they gave the audience the recorded version. ANd it was fantastic. Personally, it gave me an idea as to how each one of their recording voice would sound!
I think its a great version of the song, now either go buy it, if you wanna support the cause, if not please dont shiit on it and dissuade people who actually see what the point of it was!

Fom 26-10-2008 02:01 PM

Why didnt they show a music video? That would of been far more professional and less messy, then they could of put the recorded voice over... seriously how long would it take to shoot a video?

5 hours? Spread it over 3 weeks... its nothing!

Matt08 26-10-2008 02:03 PM

I really don't see what the problem is about. It was definitely mimed though, you can tell if you listen to the studio version.

Wildcat! 26-10-2008 02:08 PM

Of course it was mimed. But they were still singing, and it was a great performance, they did a very good job. Playback is part of music anyways, its been done for years. A lot of people do that during award shows, especially when they have complicated dance routines. I dont see a problem with it, as long as its not a concert!

Wildcat! 28-10-2008 12:30 AM

For those that complained it wasnt sang Live,If they had sung this with 21 people on stage, without miming, it woulve sounded a bit like this, with music in the background.
A little better of course, but close!

Annie 28-10-2008 01:41 AM

I thought they were singing but there was a track playing in the background. I dont know why they would mime. Nothing else gets mimed on the show.

Noel 29-10-2008 03:57 PM

I knew they were miming as soon as I heard Eoghan, and I said it to my mum, but no one believed me =[ But if they mimed, they mimed; I really don't care, to be honest. lol. Simon Cowell must have thought it wise to mime, and so there must have been a good reason.

hannah. 29-10-2008 04:24 PM

i dont even care anymore. it makes me cry every single time, like i watched it just now and was like PAH IDIOTS and then at 3:20 when they show you the servicemen and women and there's that one just looking really chuffed and clapping, I get all emotional.. it's so odd

The contestants wouldn't have had time to rehearse it on top of their individual / group performances.

MR.K! 29-10-2008 04:34 PM

i thought the whole thing was recorded, thats why they had differant clothes on one minute after the next, and it was so obviously mimed but i still love it though
