Dont worry, I know how you feel. They ask you a really simple question to get your head out of the zone when they do it, and its literally over in 2 seconds, and sometimes you dont even realise.

its over and done with really quick what takes the time for me is them finding the vein but thats not to say you will be the same (and that doesnt hurt anyway)

Princess 02-11-2008 04:17 PM

I hear they sometimes can't find a vein and just keep poking until they do? I can see my veins really well in my arm though.

Princess 02-11-2008 04:21 PM

My brother is NOT helping!!!!! He was like 'I had a bad reaction once' had to get crutches

I doubt that's very common though, and the people doing it are professionals who know what they are doing. You're gonna be fine.

pinkmichk 02-11-2008 04:37 PM

they wont do it until they have a vein that looks good (they use like a belt on your arm and also at my doctors they sometimes put something cold on or sort of slap your arm, they also get me to clench and unclench my fist which helps as well)

Princess 02-11-2008 04:39 PM

Oooh right! That doesn't sound that bad.

Magic 02-11-2008 04:46 PM

They will cut off you leg if it goes wrong

Oh, and they may amputate your arm, but thats only a 2/5 chance, so I wouldn't worry.

TT were on the radio earlier, incase you didn't hear, having a little interview thing.

It's a doddle. Just look away, think of Christmas and you'll be fine. Good luck.

Princess 03-11-2008 10:39 AM

Backkk! 3 hours travelling for a few minutes, lol. It wasn't that bad,the mantoux thing stung a bit and my arm is like dead from the blood test but it was grand. They're making me see a doctor about my panic attacks though-grrness.

pinkmichk 03-11-2008 10:46 AM

Princess 03-11-2008 11:26 PM

Owwwwwwwwwwww. Ok things hurt a LOT more once you take the plaster off. I now have 2 sore arms instead of just the one.

Jackie 04-11-2008 07:32 AM

It don't bother me I watch the needles go in.
