Of course she is. Its cuz firstly she missed a week and secondly cuz she's puts in average erformance but still gets praised.

She gets so much praise, I think the criticism redresses the balance.

Yes thats right, Diana wasnt dancing. In fact she spent 90% of the time sitting! If you wanted make the point that Diana get singled out all the time, or its not a dancing competiton, you shouldve said so, and not mentioned Alex in the same group as an non dancing act. You brought her name up, I didnt! And ovbviously you were talking craap! And amyways this is his choreographer trying to improve her performances, not single her out!

XxShortyxX 25-11-2008 01:09 PM

Like I said, they are average to YOU.

As I said before, when a singer is not hitting the right note then its pretty obvious to everone. Its not about opinions anymore. its about telling it as it is.

Thats the exact definition of talking craap! Making statements without even knowing what youre talking about! Next time be sure before you make daft comments.

BUt you did not make a mistake! You commented on something you didnt know about, by your own admission. Its like making a book review on a book that you didnt read, or that you dont remember: AKA talking Craap!
And my apologies, you can do as you like of course. Just dont expect me to let it slide!

XxShortyxX 25-11-2008 01:31 PM

Anyway getting back to the Article, I wouldn't mind seeing Diana dance, but it is what she feels comfortable doing, not all singers dance, though I think she would be a good dancer.

Thats fair enough! Thats what I said in my first post. She can dance if she feels it would make her performance better, but maybe she isnt comfortable dancing and singing at the same time. Not everyone is. BUt this is not star academy so she is not required to dance. I personally wouldnt try to force her to if its not in her nature.

pinkmichk 25-11-2008 01:50 PM

people must be forgetting the unmistakable diana hand dance she does every single week obviously getting that just right stops her being able to focus on dancing as well

Alex has danced more than she hasn't! Don't forget disco week as well. Thats 4 out of 7, plus shes moved about the stage in all of her performances unlike Diana who seems to be super glued to the one spot apart from that week where she walked from the judges desk to the doors

Lauren 25-11-2008 02:25 PM

Dancing will take away from the vocals. It's a singing competition. However, it must be better than her usual...

The only dancing diana has EVER done is move her hands around her face

The way the Yodelling Barbie Doll does that is really doing my heading in. According to some reports in the press there is a facebook group complaining about it.

Barbie Doll? because she has Blonde hair?

Dance or not, I am not really bothered, I will enjoy her performance whatever. The hand thing can annoy me, but I think that's just her style and what she feels comfortable doing. She does move about on stage though (not dancing).

GiRTh 26-11-2008 07:17 AM

She hardly 'moves' around the stage. She walks every now and again but thats' all.

The story in that linkage is highly amusing.

From the article:

"I just don't get what all the fuss is about. Firstly she doesn't annunciate when she is singing so it sounds like one big rambling sentence. Secondly the 'quirky and original' thing is just plain strange. If being quirky and original means looking like you haven't brushed your hair for 5 years and have been dragged through a bush backwards then I would rather be boring and ordinary. Thirdly, does the girl not own a pair of shoes?! I mean what the ****** statement is she trying to make by coming out barefoot every week? Beyond me! And of course, last but not least I am going to make it my mission to travel down to London and cut off her ****ing left hand if she does not stop touching her face with it. Yes, you have a hand, yes you have a face but you don't need to caress it every week."
LMAO

Diana put on a show in Call Me, and she proved you dont need to dance to do that. Ruth hasn't danced, has she, and I dont see the point in dancing when it isn't your strength? She is doing fine as it is.

Billy 26-11-2008 10:31 AM

Funny how it's the oldies that are agreeingwith the stylee 8-)

Whats that got to do with anything?

gavinh2008 26-11-2008 11:12 AM

Dancing on the spot, which is what Alex did in Candyman, is having a hand routine and only using the hands and body to make "dancing on the spot" and Alex did a lot with her hands in Candyman so really she did dance in Candyman, just on the spot
