Noo, not everyone learns it. I learn German and Spanish. And French isn't one of the second world languages, German and Spanish is more spoken than French.
Spanish yes, German, no way. German is only spoken in Germany and some countries around.
French is an official language in 29 countries: Democratic Republic of the Congo, France , Canada, Madagascar, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal, Mali, Belgium, Guinea, Rwanda, Chad, Haiti, Burundi, Benin, Switzerland, Togo, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Comoros, Equatorial Guinea, Djibouti, Luxembourg, Vanuatu, Seychelles and Monaco.
German is an important language in business and stuff apparently. I'm sure they speak German in Switzerland lol.
They also speak French. In terms of business language, English is first, then Spanish then French. German is also important as a lot of financial places (Frankfort...) are in Germany.

German has about 110 million native speaker and French has about 90 million native speakers.

French is spoken in a lot of those countries you listed but it's not necessarily the main language in all of them.

In my school planner it infact states the top 10 spoken languages:

1. Mandarin - 1billion+
2. English - 508 million
3. Hindustani - 497 million
4. Spanish - 392 million
5. Arabic - 246 million
6. Russian - 227 million
7. Bengali - 211 million
8. French - 192 million
9. Portuguese - 191 million
10. Malay-Indonesian - 159 million

I had a feeling alot of people spoke Portuguese cause of them speaking it in Brazil.

Which is what I did in my season seven of my Mystical Realms stories where I had the episode titles in Latin.

I believe I had a character speak in French at one point, and although there was no translation it was obvious he was asking for a light for a cigarette.
Really? :shocked::shocked:
Yes, towards the end of episode 5

If you read well, I said it's the official language of all of them. However some countries have 2 official languages (Canada, Switzerland...).

I read perfectly well thank you and just because it's official doesn't mean it's spoken by the majority of speakers. That should be obvious to anyone with half a brain cell since those countries' populations far surpass the number of native French speakers.
