There were a lot of acts who were stopped from going further because of their "not ready" status. It was a stupid idea to lower it to 14, because clearly the judges didn't want kids that age to go through.

It's just a joke, a running joke in most sensible forums, not at all insulting to Irish people. But carry on, have a hissy fit regardless, like most people seem to do here for no good reason. :rolleyes:

It's boring for the show. They can't perform after a certain time, and can't practise as much as the others, or make as many appearances.
