If they feel that in general 14 & 15 year olds aren't ready, then don't raise their hopes by allowing them to audition, then crash them by not allowing them to go through to the live shows.

There were a lot of acts who were stopped from going further because of their "not ready" status. It was a stupid idea to lower it to 14, because clearly the judges didn't want kids that age to go through.
I agree :flower:

It means that the show isn't all about the little cute boy/girl like has happened with Eggnog this year.
Eoghan is 16, dumbass.

And I think it's good they've risen it, not that it matter, we've never actually got anyone good out under 16. The best we had was Emily - I'll say no more.
Uh, don't call me dumbass. And Eggnog was 15 when he applied.
and 16 when in the live shows, when the shows was supposedly "all about" him.

Calling him Eggnog only shows ignorance on your part.
Ignorance? I'm not ignorant of any fact? I realise his name is Eoghan, but I'd rather call him Eggnog; I'm sure he doesn't care about what people call him on forums.

You're just another bitter Eggnog fan - this site is so unwelcoming to new members, I've got just as much right to be here as you. Grow up!

I never denied the fact you had a right to be here.

And you are ignorant to the fact that it is insulting to Irish people. I am not an Eoghan fan, I positively despise him.

I feel its better that they raised the age.

It's just a joke, a running joke in most sensible forums, not at all insulting to Irish people. But carry on, have a hissy fit regardless, like most people seem to do here for no good reason.

Can we give them away for free then? :P

It's boring for the show. They can't perform after a certain time, and can't practise as much as the others, or make as many appearances.

Lady Shiverz? She was such a stupid bitch. I'll say no more.
