Glasgow Celtic Football club HAVE won the European Cup & on their first time of entering it. The were the first British team to win it, the first nonLatin team to win it & they did it with a team of bhoys who all came from a 30 mile radius of Glasgow. Now that is an achievement

The only reason they do okay in europe, is because they treat every game like its the champions league final.. go in for harsh tackles they wouldnt usually do.. as celtic and rangers showed against arsenal they just dont have the quality to compete.

They would never keep the consistancy they play in europe if they played in premiership, as in they couldnt play as good as in europe every week in premiership..

To be fair, think how much less money the SPL get. It's not a level playing field, they need at least 15 years of EPL back payment to even get close to the financial power of ANY EPL club.

The SPL is so much less lucrative, not only affecting transfers, but also reputation.

Before sky money and tv revenues really became lucrative, Rangers were actually the best team in Britain round the early 90's because they made the last 4 of the 92-93 Champions League, beating Leeds too. (Only Champions took part back then).

So no, in the EPL Rangers probably wouldn't make it as big, but that's not because of lack of talent or anything - it's down to money.
