The only thing I would suggest is having a nomination/eviction system that makes who is going unpredicable and more exciting. A lot of the evictions now, you know exactly who is going to be evicted... but maybe that is just because I look at polls on the forums, dunno.

Put them all up for eviction every week, vote to save or something.

And give the housemates a share of the money from votes - more votes = more cash. There's an idea.

It would only work if it was three up though (which I know you put in your next post) because say we had another repeat of Sylvia v Mo, those who wanted Sylvia out would save Mo instead.

But I don't think it would work that well ... the public like kicking people out rather than keeping them in, so I think they should pick up Australia's old voting system, vote to save and evict then both fans and haters get a say
I agree, people like seeing one sthey dislike being kicked out. But im not sure, vote to save could work.

Heres something posted on DS. Look at CBB6, its the complete bottom. So maybe Live Feed actually is what made people not want to watch.

davina1973 24-01-2009 03:47 PM

\PJ/ 24-01-2009 03:57 PM

We shouldn't need to help the show:bored:.....

Firewire 24-01-2009 03:58 PM

Get rid of the crows outside of the house on eviction night.

Bring back Live Feed.

1.5 hour eviction show. 9 to 10.30. So there is not 30 min break.

Give all of the housemates £100,000 when they go in. If the housemates break rules etc. their own money goes down. So the money on the final will be different for each housemate.

Make the show last 10 weeks.

Scrap public vote. Make housemates decide who they want to be evicted.

\PJ/ 24-01-2009 04:00 PM

£100,000 EACH!!!!:conf2:...............

davina1973 24-01-2009 04:03 PM

or reverse that , give them 2k a week when they go thats what they get so everyone starts with £0, if you break the rules or face eviction for a 3rd time you go back to £0

I get what you mean! Each person starts off with £100,000 and when they break the rules or fail a task or something they get rid of some money from there account. Nice idea!

No i mean the whole give £100,000 to each HM befor ethey enter and everytime they are nominated/punished the money goes down, cant remember who put that down as an idea.

And I can just imagine, someone has £20,000 lets say and the other has about £2000 of the £100,000 left, people will probably vote to win for the person who has the less money to anger someone.

Ohh dont matter, it doesnt make any sense.

Thanks for that - very interesting.

The casual interest is obviously still there from the launch show figures - but people are obviously tuning in, realising nothing is new so hence not watching any more.

True, if people tune in on launch night in BB10 and things have changed, its more likely they will stay tuned.

First of all, for casting... in regular BB we see a ton of young HM's with 1 or 2 older people. In CBB it's the opposite, a few young people with everyone else being mostly over 40. Different people prefer one over the other so why not cross the two for a summer series? Start off with 16 people, no more than half over 30 with the other half ranging from 31 up to 60's if they can HM's that they like of that age. The only thing with older HM's is to try to find people they think won't walk out after a week.

My 2nd idea comes from the last BBAU where the public would nominate 3 housemates for eviction, and the HMs voting who to evict. I think this is a better method as giving the final say to the housemates is less predictable than having the public vote someone out. However, unlike the Australian version, I would tweak it a bit and have a (live?) task on Sunday nights where the housemates could compete (in either teams or individuals) against each other and the winner(s) would be immune from the public vote, and the rest would be up for possible nomination. It would be pretty different from what BBUK has now but I think it could be fun to watch.

MrGaryy 25-01-2009 03:05 PM

But the public absolutely dispised the change in voting in Australia, so much that the producers decided to change it back half way through.

The British public would take to it even worse.

kendal 25-01-2009 03:12 PM

Yeah, but people want something new, exciting, and unpredictable.. it could work. Something definitely needs to change with the evictions because they're nowhere as exciting as they once were. Even something as simple as putting at least 3 people up for the vote every week would be a start.
