I think Davina basically needs to reintroduce viewers to the show again, so like back in BB1 it shouldn't be about a big crowd, but about getting behind the scenes and to the heart of the show, and then to the heart of the housemates by bringing back the friends and family into the studio.
If they do a BB4 and have huge stairs that take up most of the car park then they have their picture for the press at the gates then meet their friends and family, then like in CBB2 have lines of an audience leading into the studio, and maybe they could relocate BBLB somewhere and use the extra space to have a much bigger audience for the interviews like in BB6. Use tension music throughout etc.

They could bring the crowd back for launch night and the final, and it would feel more of an event when the crowd is actually there.

^Yeah not having a crowd could really work with some of those ideas
But if there is no outside crowd I would like the inside crowd to be two or three times bigger
Maybe the entrance/exit doesn't have to be where it is now, it could be nearer to the studios so it doesn't look as empty.
I would like to see a crowd at the launch and finale though

Yep, definately keep the crowd for the launch and finale, though that said this year if they were to give the show the relaunch it requires, ditching the crowd at the launch might not be a bad idea either.

I'm actually thinking as there is only so much they can do live, it might not be a bad idea to ditch the live launch show and get the HMs in the house a couple of days earlier so the launch can get straight into the action instead.

Or maybe they could do another BB4 launch night- only the press and friends and family on site. That would definitely stop any pre-conceived ideas the public get, as I'm sure some thick people are altered by the crowd and the housemates won't know they are the hate figure etc. That way they can still do it live and with atmosphere, but without a crowd.

As bad as BB4 was you can't fault the production in the slightest.

How would the live feed work around that though?

It wouldn't, but I'd be willing to sacrifice the first couple of days as long as we're getting it back for the rest of the series.

I'm not so sure. A lot of people argue that with Big Brother we should be able to see their every move, so I think the viewers should be there "live" from start to finish.
