Get well soon Angie. I'd love to say something a little more profound but that's all I can think of.

I ask because that combo, lung cancer plus pneumonia, means chances of recovery are pretty bleak.

 Angie, you've been fighting for a very long time, I know that people on here and everyone you know in your day to day life are all very proud of you, because of how long you've been fighting this for, and I hope you do get better, but if you don't, at least you'll know that people won't stop talking about you on here for a long time to come! You'll be a legend!! :flowers:

Anyone in contact with the family? I'm sure there are lots of people here who would like to give her a ring or perhaps visit. ( obviously not me as I'm over here in Sydney) but I'm sure she'd love it if a group of you guys got together with some flowers and visited. I think she and her family would really appreciate that. Then again you guys are really busy and one of you would need to organise it so it could take up a bit of your time .... anyway I don't know... just a thought. Anyone know any more details?

I think that's a great idea.

Perhaps Nicole could let us know?

Awww am in tears reading this thread right now - my thoughts and prayers are with you right now. I sadly lost my Nanna to pneumonia and lung cancer last Spring, so I'm hoping you fight this, Angie. I don't know you all that well but I'm thinking of you and your family at this time xxx

GiRTh 26-01-2009 03:29 PM

Hang in there Ange.

xDramatick 26-01-2009 04:21 PM

There's nothing else I think that I could say that hasn't already been said, so I'll keep it short and sweet.

Angie...

Jackie 26-01-2009 05:14 PM

Sam! 26-01-2009 05:15 PM

Magic 26-01-2009 05:17 PM

Angie as I have had said before, I admire your strength and courage, and I hope you have the relief you feel you need.

Always in my thoughts,
stay strong and I hope you honestly enter a better place,

Magic

P.S - Sorry about the Rick Roll

Annie 26-01-2009 05:29 PM

Remember Angie that you NEED to stay strong and get better because you are my maid of honour!! I havent had my real TiBB wedding yet and you would have suited my imagined deep red dress so well!

I hope so much that you will be back on here soon as I will miss your hilarious posts.

If we cannot speak to you again soon then I would like you to know that you have made an impression on this forum and so many people love and adore you.

Always in my prayers

Annie xxx

yeah but it doesn't look like the rest on this thread think so.

Any of you going to go and see her or f*kin what?...all these "get well soon"s seem hollow if none of you who live near her could be bothered to visit her. According to that site I linked lung cancer + pneumonia means she's very unlikely to recover so posting "get well soon" seems pretty tactless....Why not organise yourselves and go see her?... ffs

Posting criticisms, about people who are just sending best wishes is the tactless thing to do! Easy to sit there on your high horse and tell people what they should do. You are nowhere around, so I dont see what the point of your posts are, other than to make people feel guilty!
As far as I know, her closest opened this thread for best wishes. They didnt open it to tell people they should come and visit! This is a forum after all, not her family. So why dont you just leave it alone, if you dont have anything nice to say.

Go see her!!! mate ... posting " get well soon" to someone on her death bed is cold. Did you read that link http://ehealthforum.com/health/topic126150.html. Saying "I love you" or "your in my thoughts" means something. Going to see her means more. But "get well soon"? Do you live near her?... then go see her

Go see her? This an internet forum, And you have no idea what she has. Locations are irrelevant. And its obvious what youre trying to do here.
I dont care about your link! Whats it to you anywas! They posted a thread saying how much they appreciate the good wish messages, and more where added. And you sit there and criticize people giving best wishes? Youre just a mean spirited person willing to turn a nice thing into something else. And for the sake of keeping it that way, I hope you can respect that, and leave this thread in the spirit that it was meant to be.

I will leave it at that, and apologize to the Opening poster.

omg... you've flipped out again?
" And its obvious what youre trying to do here."
oh what's that sherlock? Seriously ...what do you think I'm trying to do?

"Go see her? This an internet forum,"
what?!! is this you winning an argument?

"Youre just a mean spirited person willing to turn a nice thing into something else. "
aww into what? ...perhaps into you guys going over to her on her death bed and be there for her. I'm guilty of trying to motivate the people who love her to be around her when she passes....yeah I'm so nasty.

...ffs stop moaning and go see her. Organise a bunch of your mates to go with you....oops sorry... you can't because "This an internet forum"....(!?!?!)

re "get well soon" I just think that if I were on my death bed and someone sent me a card with "get well soon" ....well that would be tactless
