Give it a world Sia. I think its understandable, i you really loved the first 2 series. This one would never measure up. But as for it being unrealistic, I think Skins always was really.
It will probably grow on you i you liked the concept of the series, you will start t like this one I am sure.

And thats why it should be about teens that dont go to college.. Wait there in my day those that went to Uni never went to college, they went into 6th form for 2 years (stayed at school while the non-boffs left for work or college)

I think they still should of stayed with them, i wouldn't have minded watching them for another series. I'll place a bet now that it won't return for series 4(friendly bet though recession sucks):laugh2:

I like the actual characters, but I'm not sure how this story's going to work out without looking repetitive. I hope they pull it off though.

Give it a chance! It's only the second episode. It's gonna take time for it to grow into itself, if you rewatch episodes from the first series it's similar, it's got the same awkwardness about it as the first series. The first series didn't get REALLY good until around the fifth episode when most of the characters had been properly introduced.

Its better than Gossip Girl!

Then again watching paint dry is better than Gossip Girl.

It's pissing me off, the only characters I'm interested (Freddy, Katie, Effy) see to get **** all of a look in. I know these past two episodes were Cook's but really they should have started with a more likeable character like Effy or Pandora, who are endearing rather than the repulsive Cook.

I'm not sure if I want to watch tbh...I don't like the idea of there being a new cast, and the main guy has horrible teeth. Plus it got **** reviews in the Times. Meh, I'll watch it here and there.

The only one I don't like is Freddie: he's boring, not funny, too nice.

I don't miss the old cast because I watch the 3rd series with NO expectations so there is no risk I can be disappointed.

Well times change, a Sixth form is now a college for 16-19 year olds, these can be attached to schools or can be independent, and offer lots of mentor help and stuff. A college is for anyone 16+ but do not offer the mentor help as much. I wouldn't class uni easy to get into, there is just as many places as there used to be I'm sure.

Not keen on Cook............just a yob.
Effy ..............there MUST be more to come.......so enigmatic in series 1 AND 2.............
LAST NITE WAS UNREAL...............they couldn't get into a party, yet waltzed into a brothel, no questions asked apparently. And the 'gangsta' being in both places too..............:puzzled:

I think the new series will loose some of the audience it had in series 1 & 2 because the old characters were very nu-rave! I can't stand Cook. So far, it hasn't been as good and last night I found myself turning off and watching TOTALLY SCOTT-LEE for a couple of minutes before I found out I was so sad LOL. Yeah, not as good as the first two series but hmm.. maybe it will improve?

i only ever watched the series 1 and 2. i watched the first episode of series 3 and just didn't get into it. i think it was the change of cast.

It's alright hate Cook though :@ ..I miss the old cast

Watched it last night, and I have to agree with the OP.

None of the characters are particularly likable, none of them are interesting, and it's the same old tired thing every episode. Massive party. Drug taking. Two characters have drunken sex. Regret it. Get into a massive fight. End.

It's boring now.

I think its good so far, I just despise Cook, ****, annoying, twattish character.

I think Skins 3 gets all this hatred because people are watching it with high expectations because the first 2 series are a worldwide success.
People thought it was going to be the same or in the same way. We still have the trashy and young side but it's being done on a different view and it's also enjoyable.

We knew it was going to be different and I still don't understand why people keep on comparing series 3 to 1 & 2.

I dont think its that good, its gone serious straight away, there hasnt been any fun yet! Dont like the storylines yet or the characters apart from efft and cook.

I can remember people saying that series 2 was bad, they changed their tune by the end. ALL the skins series so far has never hit their stride until a few episodes in.
