Haha, i'm the lost cause in my class really.

I'm a shivering mess in front of teachers. Dunno why really :blush2: It's hard to bunk off in my school, really hard, you seem to always get caught.

As my friend Arista would say
well tbh what do u learn from PE. Hardly anything. The only thing i learned is to keep well out the way when rugby is being played unless you want blood all over your face from being knocked silly.
I actually like rugby, I get an energy boost knowing im going to get hurt, makes it more exciting... as weird as that makes me sound

I learnt more from PE then any other lesson Its how much you want to learn

how are you suppose to learn when your skipping lessons all the time

you cant can you.

John. 26-03-2009 03:52 PM

Mehh.

I wouldn't worry about it! What's the worst that can happen??

Plus nothing can beat, pouring out mercury, it going everywhere, then being quarantined alongside half of the class.

we were then sent home early. and the science department had to be closed for two weeks because of the foam they had too put down to get rid of the mercury...

We didn't even get detention, lines or any sorta trouble!!

one of the best days in school EVER!!

lol yes thats weird. i hated rugby. my first time i got smacked in the face from an unknown elbow and thats it i never played it again. for the rest of that game i just stood there with blood down my chin. my PE teacher didnt even care.

If you don't do PE as a GCSE then it's pointless. It should be an optional lesson really, do it if you want that week but if you're busy then you should be allowed to do coursework.

Once you get to college everything should be a lot more malleable, we're always resheduling or taking lessons off for coursework.

I only ever skpped PE nothing else. purely because i saw it as a pointless lesson. and i did do it for a while but i learned there was nothing in it. all the other lads that done it were twats. the PE teacher was the biggest wanker i have ever met so i was 'whats the point'

I think it all depends on the teacher as well... even if you like a subject, you are going to hate it if the teacher hates you.

edit- it was also the 1st time ever that i didnt do PE

I agree.

It's harder being rubbish at PE, than it is being rubbish at academic subjects in a peer pressure kind of way. It's hardly like the other guys in the year will make fun of you if you can't balance a chemistry equation.

The last time I played football, i swore blind it was dodgeball and thought it was strange why I seemed to the best person at the game.

Anyway, its a useless subject imo, and like someone else said, really gives you no qualifications whatsoever. A waste of my time. Don't worry about it.

Locke. 26-03-2009 03:55 PM

Andy would make a good headteacher

JOSHUAH! 26-03-2009 03:59 PM

I skip PE all the time and go to Art or Graphics.
But my head of year is a PE Teacher so she always kicks off at us. :joker:

30stone 26-03-2009 04:00 PM

Snig you skipped P.e because it would mess up your hair?? lol.

And yes david that or a p.e teacher.

*mazedsalv** 26-03-2009 04:01 PM

Pathetic i know. But i'm really self concious and my hair is quite long and fine, so when its windy it blows around like mad. And living in Wales its quite a problem.

But that's not the main reason, i generally hate PE

*mazedsalv** 26-03-2009 04:05 PM

 lol

M X 26-03-2009 04:07 PM

P.E is totally pointless anyway.

It keeps you fit.

Every kid should be forced to do it.

Too many fat kids these days, don't get enough exercise.

pinkmichk 26-03-2009 04:10 PM

unless your doing pe for gcse cos you want a sporty related job there is no worry about missing it to focus on ther things at least you did other work i missed so much pe cos i hated it (even had a '7 week period' to miss swimming for a term) but i didnt do anything constructive with my time unless you count going to the shop with friends and :blush:smoking behind the bike shed

Well, if you take part in it properly.

If people don't like football or are not very good at it, they're not going to get much out of it.

Yeah, i think its important for exercise but I don't see how forcing people to do games they won't to do is fair, especially if there's no qualification out of it.

I don't know how much choice over schools have but in my school you're forced to do PE in the rain.

*mazedsalv** 26-03-2009 04:16 PM

Ive never not turned up to PE before, so its 1 time out of every week since year 7 which is about 300 lessons!!And they go on like i did an awful crime.

I hate the double standards, some people in my year get away with murder (bunking, swearing at teachers, not coming into school for 2 weeks straight) and i get this!

It's the same in my school too. A sad case of teachers "bending the school law for certain people".

Harry! 26-03-2009 04:25 PM

PE is a load of s**t in my opinion.

Sam! 26-03-2009 04:29 PM

PE is only important if you took it for GCSE. I would rather do IT coursework and some people do do it instead sneakily - at the moment Trampolining and Hockey are alright though.
