It's just been on the news: after the court ordered them to stop the strike, fishermen refused and will continue until further notice.

And arista, if we broke the rule, we would have been 'punished' by the authorities. We clearly don't so it's fine.

The strike is over in the ports but not in a few factories.
The fishermen said they'll be back, and stronger this time but with another type of protestation.

If we're talking about EU then I agree, she has a fair point. However, EU isn't illegal when doing this, they're not that protectionists to get sanctions from the WTO.
I also agree that it's always the same issue over and over again and it won't be solved in a while...knowing the current economical situation.
You're still part of Europe. It's on the same continent, no matter what the Brits would like to believe.

We don't have 'a war', that shows how bad you know how strikes are going there. Well, some can get nasty but not all of them. Sarkozy will talk to them in a few days if the situation is still stuck. Just the opposite, dude. Sarkozy went in like Thatcher, and it backfired. He's not going to last. He's a failure. Conservative politics did not work. It's as bad as it ever was.
