well not quite, once you begin to show an active opinion in other thread and get to know members then you will settle in, like i have now, this time last year i was a "newbie" and didnt know what was going on, and tbh most people wont give you a second though as alot of new people sign up during the bb build up and then are never seen again after a week or so, if you still around and an active poster after BB then you will get comfortable

yeah but you shouldnt have to wait until AFTER bb to get accepted it's a Big Brother forum, so where the hell dopeople get off at telling them to "try posting in the right forums and you might get a positive response" < You were new once remember.

As far as I can see mado didn't post in the wrong forum in any case. Anyway, it's not always obvious, when you're new, that the Lobby forum exists. :shrug: It gets missed at the bottom.

I think Rob said it how it is. I personally dont know if there is an answer to your point. But, It really is how it works here, and i agree Its not the way forward. Its not correct.

People should be able to come here post their thoughts, feelings and comments on Big Brother - its just that some characters on TIBB dont feel obliged to feel as if the new people care to them, purely because of their Status on Tibb, and this is based upon their Post count.

Personally, a post count is wrong. Who cares how many posts you have? Its wrong that we judge others by post count.

can there no be a srcipt made where when a new member logs in it gives them a message at the top of the page prompting them to the lobby to introduce themselves?

it is, but ill give you two tips,

1) Double check you are posting in the right place, if you are posting about What the weather is like then go to General Chat Forum, if you want post about BB then make sure you post in the right forum, each BB series has its own sub-forum

2) Double check what your new topic is about doesn't exsist, e.g if you are posting about the start date there are already a few threads about this, have a quick look down the first few pages of the forum you are posting in to see if your topic exsists, if you dont see it have a quick search for it in the search bar at the top of the page, if its not there then post away. This is basically so that we don't get 5 or 6 different threads all about the same topic, it can get confusing at times, especially this time of the year when its soo busy.
