WTF? That's like saying black people have come to terms with being racially bullied or women have come to terms with being put down!

Please do not insult other members! - 30stone.

I'm not really bothered about being called any name under the sun. The people that say those names obviously feel some need to try and verbally abuse others which is laaaaame and yes, very "gay".

But Hilary Duff in that advert <3 She's so fierce. And I love her support for gay rights.

I think a lot of young people who say they mean nothing offensive by it, subconsciously do. Thats just how todays youth have been brought up, even if they know it's bad and don't want to be offensive, deep down I think a lot of people do mean it in a bad way.

I find it offensive if I'm honest. I would only let my BEST friend say it because I know she doesn't mean it as a way to insult gays. People who say gays need to get over it need to put themselves into other gay people's shoes and ask themselves how they would feel if soemthign that is a huge part of their make up is constantly used as an insult. If you were black would you find the word ****** offensive. hell yes and if someone told you to 'get over it' you would be pissed off.

In regards to this ad, I think it's a cool campaign and kudos to Hilary for supporting it.

I'm actually surprised that this is considered to be offensive.

I did not think people were offended by this.

I've started a poll, because I find it interesting hearing other people's views on this issue.

This thread has made me rethink using the phrase now to be honest.
