I seriously did not think that ever even happened. Why do people care about postcount, ESPECIALLY on a forum where your specific count is never shown on your posts, just things like 5,000+.

Again, that was something which was campaigned for years ago Stu, and I was part of that campaign, cuz people were constantly obsessing over post-count, and spamming every thread.

Members like Harry ruin it for members who want to keep the post count, but don't spam. A lot of people just like to see how many posts they've made, but don't place importance on it.

Whereas other members use it as a status-grabber, higher post counts = higher reputation, popularity etc.

Sure you don't.

I honestly don't care about my post count, but as Lauren pointed out, others do.

But, you shouldn't place so much importance on it Harry. At the end of the day, the quality of your posts, and the contribution you make to the forum is a better reflection on you as a member.

Harry! 31-05-2009 11:49 AM

I do post quality posts. Here is a link below which shows a member who dosn't

Can we not have this turn into an argument please.

I assume C&G is for Games and things like "What are you wearing today" and cults ETC. GC is for topical things, like discussing the weather or stuff

30stone 31-05-2009 12:51 PM

I wouldnt mind if post count was removed.

Yeah, I would love to have post count removed for one week as a little experiment. See how quiet the forum gets.

30stone 31-05-2009 01:49 PM

I wouldnt post less of more, but i mean it just spots any quarrel about it.

Obviously keep the if you havent made 100 posts you can't + / - Karma but other than that i dont like to keep count.
