Lopez v beck am watching

BigSister 22-06-2009 03:59 PM

That was agood match was surprised Lopez lost though

Marc 22-06-2009 05:00 PM

Beck battled hard for that win! Lopez' slice backhand was starting to annoy me though!! lol

Deirdre 22-06-2009 05:16 PM

Gutted for Laura Robson.
She will be huge in years to come though.

Very happy for Sharapova though, she's recovered well from the operation.

BigSister 22-06-2009 05:31 PM

Yeah he did well Beck.
Novak Djokovic is a set down which is quite surprising

Novo 22-06-2009 05:32 PM

Djokovic Playing much better now

BigSister 22-06-2009 05:33 PM

Ta Andy thats better news
Thats typical when i dont watch they start playing better

Marc 23-06-2009 11:44 AM

Bloody Djokovic always takes his time on court! shame for Benneteau to lose in 4 though he was playing very well. Currently watching Our Brits losing  really enjoyed Stoop last night, can't wait to see the deciding set for that match later on!

Captain.Remy 23-06-2009 11:57 AM

Djokovic to win !! :bouncy:

Marc 23-06-2009 12:01 PM

Kimiko Date Krumm is doing pretty well, a reminder that Wozniacki won Eastbourne just last week and Date Krumm has managed to keep toe to toe with her!

EDIT: She has just taken the first set 7-5! Not bad for a 38 year old!
EDITEDIT: Wozniacki has taken the second set 6-3, looks much more commanding now!
EDITEDITEDIT: Wozniacki wins. 6-1 in the final set.

Marc 23-06-2009 01:22 PM

Katie O'brien has been knocked out by Iveta Benesova 6-2 5-7 6-4. Very predictable end to a good match!
Keothavong has just started, up against world number 80 Patricia Mayr (AUT)

BigSister 23-06-2009 01:53 PM

Roddicks playing well at the moment ^_^

Marc 23-06-2009 01:58 PM

Ooo! I hope his ankle isn't still bad from Queens!
Stoop's match has resumed! as has Goodall's

BigSister 23-06-2009 02:13 PM

Well he rattled through the first few games he was 5-0 at one point^_^ but got the first set 6-3
Its 1-1 currently but on serve

Marc 23-06-2009 02:14 PM

Bloody hell.. what is up with us Brits?! lol
Keothavong just lost the first set 7-5. Mayr's shouting is really pee'ing me off!

Safina has started and Llodra has taken the 3rd set 6-4

BigSister 23-06-2009 02:17 PM

Damm Keothavong was prob our best bet for a 2nd round in the womens as well. After Murray were stuffed

I know! Stoop is doing well on court 18... but I can see that being another predictable ending!

BigSister 23-06-2009 02:22 PM

Im not saying anything about that as ill prob jinx it again!

Marc 23-06-2009 02:27 PM

This is pee'ing me off now! None of our british girls know how to win!:mad::mad:

Ninastar 23-06-2009 02:29 PM

No joke but they seriously sound like they are having se when they hit the ball.

andyman 23-06-2009 03:17 PM

I enjoy watching women's tennis, not just because their women but the game has a good flow to it and they are superstars..

Marc 23-06-2009 03:27 PM

Bad bad day for Brits! as Keothavong, Evans, Goodall, Stoop, O'Brien all fail to make the second round! This following the departure of Ward, South and Robson yesterday.

Murray, Baltacha and Bogdanovic are the only Brits left to play their first round matches, can we dare hope for more than just one to go through though?

Novo 23-06-2009 03:39 PM

Bogdanovic and murray will go through i will say

BigSister 23-06-2009 03:40 PM

Elena got through last year only her and Murray and another guy got through last year(Think his name was Chris something) so im crossing my fingers for her

Deirdre 23-06-2009 07:39 PM

So glad Ana Ivanovic got through, I thought she wouldn't.
It was a good match though and she put up a huge fight.
Good on her.
