Chapter 8
On the Road Again! I Can't Wait to get on the Road Again!


After finding LemonJam's group and picking them up, Lauren swung by the Brotherhood to get Andy, Iceman and Twilight. They were soon heading off towards Tibb Towers.
'So how did this all happen?' inquired Ross.

'I'm not sure, after leaving the Brotherhood I went to Tibb Towers to look for answers but I didn't find anything. I searched the entire A.R.I.S.T.A Computer Network but before last night there were nothing about why the zombies appeared.'

'And where's the Modforce in all of this?' asked Princess

'They originally attacked the zombies hoping to wipe them out but when Mark was killed James took control and ordered them to retreat for a while. Instead of attacking they decided to evacuate as many people as possible. Sia and James managed to escape with over 43 Tibb residents and now 30Stone is waiting for us at Tibb Tower's Helipad, From what I gather we'll be the last group to get out'

'But what if there are any other survivors? What's gonna happen to them?'

'I hope they manage to escape if there are any left since in' Lauren looked at her watch. ' three hours time James will be taking action against the zombies'

'Taking action?'

'James is gonna bomb Tibb to hell'

For the first time Silence had spread across the vehicle, Tibb was their home and some had held onto the hope that they could return after the zombies were dealt with.

'They can do what they like, I never planned on coming back' Stated LemonJam, It was the first item he had spoken since Jen's death.

AN HOUR LATER

The group had reached the gates of Tibb Towers, they cheered for they knew that salvation was only a few minutes away. They stared in wonder as Tibb Towers came into sight. The building consisted of three towers which were connected at the top by a single roof structure. It was a sight to behold.

The began to approach the front door when Princess suddenly screamed.

'This can't be happening! This can't be happening!'

Chapter 9
For One Night Only


Princess stopped the group from entering the building, she was closest to the door and was horrified to see that the Entrance Plaza of Tibb Towers was full of zombies.

'What are we going to do now? Are there any other ways to get out of here?' Asked Iceman.

'There's the docks underneath the parking complex but I'm not sure if the boats are still there, We've only got an hour left before the bombs drop and If we go to the docks and there's no boats then we won't have enough time to make it to the helipad' Stated Lauren. 'It's your choice guys.'

'We'll never make it through those zombies'
'The docks are safer'

'If there's no boats though we're dead anyway'

GypsyGoth cleared her throat. 'Fate has handed us two cards, but I believe we should go through the towers. There's danger yes but as long as we work as a team we shall live to tell the tale....Plus I'm very good at Left 4 Dead so this should be easy.'

The team nodded in agreement.

'How are we going to defend ourselves? Golf clubs are good for one or two zombies but we need something bigger for that crowd.' Said Lemonjam.

Andy and Iceman looked at each other and smiled, they moved to the trunk of the van and brought out two boxes, the threw them down at the group's feet. The boxes cracked open to reveal swords and guns.

'Compliments of the Brotherhood'

The survivors burst into the Plaza, they were led by Andy, Iceman, Gypsygoth and Princess who sliced away at the zombies with their swords and chainsaw respectively. The others followed shooting at anything that survived the first wave's attack while Twilight brought up the rear with some very well aimed grenades. It wasn't long before they reached the elevator but someone was missing...

'Twilight!' Cried out Mark.

She was surrounded but she was managing to dodge and weave through their attacks. She threw down well timed grenades that thinned out the group of zombies but there were still too many. Lauren pressed the elevator button which resulted in a loud drone as the elevator descended, the zombies turned from Twilight and headed towards the group. They would have been surely doomed if it wasn't for the angelic voice that enshrouded the plaza, drowning out the drone of the elevator. Twilight was singing to distract the zombies from the group and it was working. Hundreds of zombies charged towards her, she ran towards an open door and lead the zombies away. However there were still quite a number of zombies left in the plaza and without Twilight they started to move towards the group once more. Luckily at that moment the lift had fully descended and the group ran into it.

They were relieved to be safe for the moment but something was wrong....Andy was still in the Plaza! They banged on the windows of the lift trying to grab his attention but Andy knew what he was doing. The lift was slow and was made of glass panels, the zombies would have dragged them from the lift if someone didn't distract them. Andy raised his sword and ran at the zombies, he didn't mind sacrificing his life to save others. He was a knight afterall, brave and honorable. Although he was going to die he was going to make sure that he'd take as many zombies as he could with him.


Twilight was running through the dark corridors of Tibb towers with belt of grenades in one hand and her Armani heels in the other. As she ran she threw grenades behind her to stall the zombies but the hoard seemed never ending. She span around quickly and threw her Armani heels at the zombies, her aim was perfect and two zombies fell with heels lodged in their eyes (Let it never be said that fashion can't save a life).

She ran into a side door and shut it behind her, she felt the zombies hammering the door and turned around to find that she was in a laboratory, and it was a dead end. Twilight looked around desperately but there was no way out and the zombies hands had smashed through the window of the door. She looked at the belt to see a solitary grenade left. She sighed, there was nothing she could do now...but then she noticed something. She ran through the lab turning on all the Bunsen burners. People thought she was stupid but she was far from it, for she at least knew her basic science, that fire and gas does not mix. The zombies smashed through the door and charged at her, she threw the grenade.

The next few seconds seemed go in slow motion for her, as she saw the grenade fly towards the zombies. She though about what fame was and what she achieved, anyone famous would tell you that the key to it all was to go out with a bang and leave them wanting more. Twilight smiled as she knew she achieved both with flying colours.

The explosion ripped through the ground floor of the towers, decimating all the zombies. The group felt the building shake but remained silent and solemn. They were sad but thankful for Twilight and Andy's sacrifice for their combined efforts had saved the group. The lift was nearing it's stop and the group prepared for what lay ahead, they still had over half way to go and time was not on their side.

Chapter 10
B.F.T.D


Lauren loaded her gun as the Elevator doors opened. A crowd of zombies awaited them and charged but the survivors were ready and angry. Laura screamed a war cry of Zombie death as she charged forwards with her chainsaw, swinging wildly at their undead foes. They were driving back the zombies but no matter how many they killed they just kept coming. Lauren knew it was hopeless to stay and fight so she yelled to the group to follow her. She bolted down the corridors, her surroundings were different to that of the plaza and she was surrounded by rooms of cubicles and offices. She chose one at random and ran into it, she heard the door shut behind her as the survivors milled into the room. Luckily for them the zombies seemed to be lost within the labyrinth of offices. She turned to face the group and noticed instantly that something was wrong, half the group was missing. Where was Gary, MarkWaldorf, GypsyGoth and Zee?

Gary was following the group, they ran the opposite direction to the others. He stole glances behind himself to and see the hoard gaining on them. He threw down plants and office equipment to obstruct the zombies and it seemed to be working.

'In here!' cried Zee as they charged into a pair of double doors. They seemed to be in some sort of Hall. Zombies were piling at the door and it wouldn't be long until they smashed through. Gary looked around the room and saw two tall bookcases which gave him an idea. He had the others help him push the bookcases to each side of the door. As the zombies began to break the doors down, the group climbed upon the bookcases. The zombies ripped apart the door and charged into the hall but the group was ready for them. They rained bullets down on the creatures and soon they were dead.

The group climbed down from the bookcases and proceeded out the doors carefully, they had used all their bullets on the last wave of zombies and were anxious not to run into any more. They crept up the dark corridor

Gary saw something move in the distance but then it disappeared, he put it down to his imagination though. He was stressed out and had been on edge ever since they left their house in Tibb. But he saw the shape again and before he could say a word it crashed through the nearest window. It was a zombie and it was heading straight for Zee. Zee dived out the way of the zombie but it seemed that it was in the mood for meat of the Scottish variety. It sprang to attack him but he was ready. Zee raise his shotgun high and swung it towards the creature's head with all the strength he could muster. Upon Impact the zombies head seemed to explode with gore, splattering the survivors.

'Ugh! This is an In season Gucci, GUCCI!' Exclaimed Mark. He strutted off to the nearest toilet to wipe off the gore. Gary followed him, it wasn't a good idea to be alone in this building. Gary found Mark by the sink. He had picked a piece of brain out of his hair.

'EWWWWWWWWWWW I feel sick' With that Mark ran into one of the stalls.

'You'll be okay, we'll be on that helicopter in no time. This time tomorrow we'll be resting somewhere in a nice hotel and this'll be a distant dream.' Said Gary.

'Yeah....uck' He vomited again.

'Oh dear, do you want me to hold back your hair or something?' asked Gary.

'Ugh'

Gary opened the door to the stall but was thrown backwards as Mark leapt upon him. Gary was pinned to the ground! He looked into Mark's face, He had become a zombie.

'AHHHHHHH!'

His scream alerted GypsyGoth and Zee and they opened the bathroom door. The Zombified Mark was feeding on a dead Gary. Mark had noticed them and ran towards them. Zee closed the door a few seconds too late and Mark's arm was trapped in it. He desperately tried to rip and claw at Zee and GypsyGoth and no matter how much Zee slammed the door he would not stop. GypsyGoth raised her brotherhood sword.

'I apologise MarkWaldorf, May you find piece.'

She suddenly thrust her sword through the gap in the door, impaling the zombie through the head. Zee then closed the door as the heard Mark's body slump to the floor. Zee didn't get on with Mark but he never wanted him to die, He was so sick of people dying on him. He put his feelings aside though and carried on.

A few hallways later they came across a tall stairway and the rest of the group. He was glad to see that they were all intact. Shaun however was scanning Zee's surroundings.

'Isn't Gary and Mark with you?'

Zee told him what happened. They were shocked and saddened by the deaths but coped with it well. Even Shaun managed to stifle stifled his tears, they had all grown hardened to death during the day. They would mourn their lost friends when they escaped but they couldn't now. For now they needed to focus on living. They ascended the stairs hoping to find a glimmer of light and solace but they all secretly knew that the situation was growing darker by the second.

Chapter 11
The Hunted


The group were running up the stairs, they had heard the cry of a zombie hoard and had realised that the zombies chasing Lauren's group earlier had found their feet in the offices. Iceman threw some ammo towards Zee who reloaded his gun and fired at the advancing zombies. Luckily for the survivors the door was only a short distance away but the zombies were drawing ever closer. Tired of running, GypsyGoth turned to face the creatures and slashed at their faces, the zombie corpses fell backwards knocking the zombies behind them down like a set of dominoes. The zombies would be down for a while but not out. GypsyGoth grabbed a grenade from Iceman and threw it down the stairs.

'Quick! RUN!' she cried.

They stumbled through the door and shut it just as the grenade exploded. For now they were safe. Princess looked around the room they were in, it was extremely dark but from what she could tell it seemed to be some sort of cafeteria. The room was illuminated in some places by windows overlooking the Entrance Plaza. Princess stared at the entrance plaza, it was completely destroyed. She saw a shape move across the Plaza but assumed it to be a zombie.

'The lift to the last floor is just outside the Cafeteria, from there we're seconds away from the helicopter.' Stated Lauren. The group moved quickly, they were desperate to get out of this building.

'GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!'

A dark shape leaped towards Princess but Lemonjam managed to pull her out the way. Before they could shoot the creature it leapt upwards towards the ceiling. They aimed their guns upwards but without the lights the ceiling was covered in darkness. They heard the creature pull itself across the ceiling.

'What the ***** is that?!' shouted Zee.

The creature's raspy breath drew closer to their position.

'Stay together' Whispered Lauren.

'KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!'

The creature dropped into the middle of the group Lauren and Iceman fired at it but it quickly leaped away into the darkness. This was no ordinary zombie, it was extremely fast and was smart enough to know not to stay in the group's line of sight. Lauren realised that they were at a disadvantage.

'Guys run to the north side!'

The group bolted but they were split into smaller groups due to the creature's attack. The creature knew what it was doing, the cafeteria was it's hunting ground and the survivors was it's prey.

Shaun and Gypsygoth were nearing the exit when the creature dropped in front of them. Shaun screamed as the creature jumped towards him, it's claws ready for his flesh. GypsyGoth stood in front of him and swung at it. The Sword rebounded off it's claws, throwing the creature backwards.

'Grrr....AAAAAAH!!'

It leapt away towards a lone Zee,

'ZEE! WATCH OUT!' screamed Shaun.

Zee turned to face the creature, he fired his shotgun but the creature managed to leap out of the way. Zee ran towards Shaun as the monster returned to the ceiling.

Zee looked around at the cafeteria he saw the dark shapes of his friends firing at the creature, each gunshot eliminated the dark room which gave the survivors small glimpses of the thing hunting them. Lauren and Iceman were running towards the exit while firing at the dark shape, they knew they couldn't hit it but they hoped it would draw it away from the others. The creature was growing wise to their game and soon bounded off into the darkness.

'LemonJam, Princess! For the love of god it's heading towards you. RUN!' shouted Lauren.

LemonJam grabbed hold of Princess' hand and bolted towards the exit. He heard the creature crawl speedily across the ceiling, it's raspy breaths becoming louder. Suddenly there was no sound but Lemonjam's heart started to beat twice as fast.

'GRAAAAAAAGH!'

'AHHHHH!'

The creature had pounced Princess and for the first time LemonJam had gotten a good look at the stalking monster. It was wearing a tattered Mod Force outfit and it's face was covered with a black riot helmet, The creature's hands had mutated into along sharp claws. Lemonjam aimed his gun and fired at the creature, he managed to hit it in the shoulder which caused it to leap off Princess and onto a wall. He fire more bullets but they missed.

'GRAHAGRAHAGH!' It sounded almost like it was laughing.

It leapt from the wall with it's claws outstretched towards LemonJam, He fired some more at it but once again he missed. The creature raised it's claw and slashed LemonJam's face. It swiped with it's other hand but Lemonjam managed to catch hold of it and hold the creature at bay. He thought of something that chilled him to the bone, MarkWaldorf turned into a zombie through a scratch...Would he turn into this creature now he had been cut by it? He would not allow it, he could not endanger his friends like that. With his remaining strength he picked up the creature and dived through the nearest window with it. As they fell towards the Plaza, LemonJam only hoped that the fall would prevent himself from becoming one of them and that the creature would be killed. He thought he would be scared of dying but he wasn't, he was mere meters away from the ground as he thought a happy thought. He'd see Jen again soon.

Princess screamed in horror as Lauren helped her to her feet. She ran towards the window but Lauren pulled her back.

'There's nothing we can do now! Come on Princess, please let's go!' For the first time Lauren was panicking. If that creature was here then what could be waiting for them upstairs?

Chapter 12
Zombie Genocide


The group had reached the final elevator with little trouble after the fight in the Cafeteria. There was little talk happening between the survivors, half of them were worried about what could lay ahead while the rest were deep in thought about their departed friends. As the lift doors opened they prepared for more zombies or creatures to attack but for the first time since entering the towers there seemed to be nothing to attack them. Taking advantage of the quiet moment they speedily but cautiously ran through the corridor, they could see the stairs to the heliport in sight. As they reached the stairs GypsyGoth span around and raised her sword but there was no one there.

'What are you doing?' asked Shaun aggressively.

'I apologise, around this time when we're usually in sight of safety we usually get attacked by large groups of the undead and we often lose one or mostly two of our numbers so I thought I'd pre-empt the inevitable.'

'Oh'

They continued to run up the stairs, salvation was only a few steps away when....they made it to the heliport! (Aha thought something would happen didn't you?). They cheered as they saw the glorious sight that was 30Stone and the Helicopter. They were finally gonna leave this godforsaken tower.

'I'm glad you made it, C'mon get in there's only a short amount of time before the bombing run starts.' Said 30stone.

The survivors gladly obliged, they climbed into the helicopter and even dared to smile as the heard the engine rumble. They were finally escaping from this nightmare!.....until the Helicopter stopped.

'Sh*t, We're out of petrol' Said 30stone.

'Oh for *****'s sake!' screamed Lauren.

'Don't worry people it'll only take two minutes to refuel'

The survivors sighed a cautious sigh of relief, they were expecting a sting in the tail. 30Stone began the process which resulted in a very loud rumble from the machinery.

'UGGHGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!'

The survivors looked at each other with fear in their eyes, the cacophony of screams had come from below them, almost as if every zombie in the building was running towards their location. If the sound didn't confirm it then the small rumble of the building did. The biggest hoard of zombies the group has ever faced were heading their way and they were stuck on the roof.

'Oh God we're gonna die!' Panicked Shaun.

'No we're not' stated Princess quietly. She stood up and grabbed hold of her chainsaw

'I'm so sick of running guys, these bastards have taken everything from us and all we've been able to do is run and hope that we aren't next. I'm not gonna stand for that no more, I saw let them come for I'm gonna kill EVERY LAST *****ING ONE OF THEM!'
The survivors stood up, empowered from Princess' speech. They all grabbed their weapons and stood outside the helicopter, ready to stand their ground. There was no place left to run, but they didn't care for it meant there was no place for the zombies to run to either. They heard the door begin to break, they readied themselves.

As the door cracked open and the zombies flooded in, Princess threw her Chainsaw at them, as it span through the air it ripped open a path through the zombies. She ran to Iceman's weapon box and grabbed a machine gun and began firing wildly into the crowd.

'****ING DIE YOU FUGLY MUTHA*****ERS!!' She screamed wildy.

'Bitch you crazy!' cried Shaun 'But keep it up girl it's workin!'

Zee, Ross and GtpsyGoth charged into the zombies armed with their sword and guns while Lauren, Shaun, Iceman and Princess provided support. GypsyGoth weaved gracefully in between the zombies slicing them down on at a time while Zee and Ross left any zombie they crossed a pile of gore with their guns.

Shaun was beginning to feel nervous, he was rapidly running out of bullets. He looked around anxiously trying to find a new weapon as his eyes rested upon what seemed like a glorious mirage.

'Holy Mother of Madonna!' He shouted joyfully.

He loaded and readied the weapon.

'FIRE IN THE HOLE!'

Shaun fired his bazooka at the zombie hoard, he laughed gleefully as he saw a large number of zombies fly through the air.

'Oh screw Dolce & Gabbanna, buy me one of these for Christmas!'

'The Helicopter's fully fueled up, C'mon let's go!'

The group had a lot of fun murdering zombies and they climbed into the helicopter while admiring their handy work. The heliport was covered in dead zombies. They began to rise as the Helicopter shuddered violently, Ross and Zee lost their balance as they tumbled out the helicopter and onto the heliport. The helicopter continued to rise as zombies once more began to charge the heliport.

'What are you doing 30stone! Ross and Zee are still down there!' exclaimed Lauren.

'It's agonising for me but I CAN'T land, there's not enough time to clear the heliport.'

Lauren grabbed Ross and Zee's guns and threw them down to them as well as a silver key.

'We can't land but that key is my Master key, it'll unlock all the doors in Tibb Towers. Find a way to the docks it's your only hope. You've only got 10 minutes left so for the love of god RUN!'

The Final Chapter
Run Like Hell


Ten minutes

Ross and Zee were dazed from the fall but they heard Lauren loud and clear, Ross grabbed the master key and ran to the other side of the heliport to a previously locked door. Ross fiddled with the lock while Zee shot any zombies that got close, the zombies were attacking fiercely and wildly almost as if they knew the end was near. Zee was managing to keep them at bay but he was only one man against the horde, they were drawing closer.

'GET AWAY FROM THEM!' a voice cried from the Helicopter as the rest of the survivors proceeded to rain bullets down on the zombies. They were pulling away from the building, they would soon be out of reach.

'I got it!' cried Ross as the last two survivors charged through the door.

Nine minutes

They flew down the stairs and the corridor towards the elevator only to find an 'Out of Order' Sign impeding them. Without the survivors in the Helicopter to to fire at them the zombies were soon charging down the stairs. With the zombies blocking the Heliport and the Lift broken there was nowhere left to go and without Iceman's ammo box they didn't have enough bullets to fight off the horde. Was this the end?

Zee grabbed Ross' wrist and pulled him into a nearby room. He grabbed the key and locked the door, the door was violently shaking in it's hinges it would not last long. As Zee pushed a nearby Bookcase in front of the door Ross looked around the room.

Seven Minutes

They were in a pilot office and there were no other doors left for them to escape through. There was a single window which Ross looked out of. They were on the front side of Tibb Towers and Ross could see the almost mocking sight of the Parking Facility, their goal in sight. The front of the building were devoid of crags or ledges for them to climb down so they began to look for something the could use to lower themselves to the ground from the window. It was their only option.

They ransacked the office looking for any rope or something similar, However Zee almost jumped for joy as he found a number of spare parachutes in the cupboard. Neither of them had ever used parachutes before but the hastily put them on and broke the nearest window. As the prepared to jump they heard the door crack as zombie hands punched through it. With nothing left to lose Zee and Ross jumped from the window. Unwilling to free fall for long they both pulled the chord on the parachutes and were ecstatic to find out they worked perfectly. Relief finally washed over the two survivors as they finally managed to escape the Towers but they couldn't allow themselves to become complacent, there was still the risk of zombies or even another creature within the parking building as well as the chance that there might not be any boats at the docks.

Ross had managed to successfully land on the top floor of the parking building but Zee was nowhere to be seen. He looked over the edge to see Zee just outside the building, Ross' pace quickened for they were separated.

'I'll meet you on the ground floor' Called Ross as he bolted down the ramp.

Five minutes

Luckily For Ross there was not many zombies in the parking lot and he easily managed to avoid any he encountered. As he ran down the ramp to the second floor however he was greeted by 16 zombies. Ross raised his gun and squeezed the trigger.

CLICK CLICK CLICK

Ross felt the colour drain from his face as he realised he was out of bullets. He backed away from the zombies, What could he do now? They were blocking the only exit.

A blur of red crashed into the attacking zombies.

'Get in!' Zee's voice echoed though the Parking lot. He was driving a red car, as Ross got in Zee began to speed around the parking lots until he had reached the ground floor. The lift was finally in sight. Zee pressed the button and they heard the lift stir into action.

Two minutes

As the lift was rising the zombies Zee had ran over began to stir, their screams of hunger and pain soon alerted the survivors to their presence. Zee checked his Shotgun, he only had a single shell left and the zombies were sprinting down the building.

'Come on Lift come on'

The zombies had reached the ground lift.

Ross pressed the button a few more times. The zombies were mere meters away now, Zee raised his shotgun and shot at a close zombie but now he was out of bullets and they were drawing closer. Luckily for them the lift opened and they clambered in. As the door closed a zombies grabbed hold of Zee's collar and pulled him backwards, Ross grabbed his hand wad tried to pull him back but the zombie was strong. Was Zee to die here? Before the metaphorical final hurdle?

The lift slammed shut cutting off the zombie's arm. Zee fell to the floor in exhaustion and relief, one way or another they were at the end of the road.

One Minute

The lift doors opened and they found themselves in the docks.....It was completely empty. They looked around but there wasn't a single boat in sight. Was all that for nothing?

30 seconds

They looked at each other and knew it wasn't over yet. They ran towards the water for they would swim out of this hellhole if it meant escaping. As they neared the edge they got splashed with a wave as a speedboat stopped in front of them.

'Have no fear....TWILIGHT IS HERE! Get in quick!' shouted the very alive looking Twilight.

They dived into the speedboat as they saw the fighter jets crossing overhead, as they sped away they saw Tibb Town and Towers erupt into flames. It was finally over.

'So Twilight how did you survive?' asked Zee, he was happy to see that somebody else managed to survive.

'Oh it's complicated to explain but it involved a sheet of cardboard, a glow in the dark bra and the cast of Heartbeat' she informed them.

'Oh' replied Zee Normally he would question her more but after what he had seen today he would believe anything. As they speed across the water, they saw the other survivor's helicopter in the distance. Zee sat down in the nearest seat and fell to sleep as the boat drove towards a (hopefully) zombie-less future.
