Hey don't lump all us Ollys fans in the the same basket!! I just think he's a bit shy and gentle manly!

setanta 15-12-2009 03:51 PM

Who cares if he's gay or not? That's right, the people who purchase these kind of albums, so that's why he's been told to shout out from the highest roof top that he's a heterosexual young man. It's just good for business.

Or maybe, just maybe, he IS straight.

I see no reason whatsoever not to believe what he says and to be quite honest, Im sick of seeing people branded 'gay' because of their personalities...you know gay people are no different to anyone else.

My two best ,mates are gay, one is as camp as you can get and the other, noone even knows he is gay, and people act shocked when he tells them. People seem to think the slightest bit of 'campness' makes someone gay, not the case and its just an ignorant view tbh.

Captain.Remy 15-12-2009 03:57 PM

Joe straight ? Yeah right lmao

My whole point is that I don't really give a shite if he likes to roll around in peanut butter or engage in any other sexual activity for that matter because it's really none of our business and has no relevance to him as an artist for me. But the general public are far more fickle than that and that's why he's been told to come out with this interview. It's a PR stunt and has nothing to do with his sexuality - which we shouldn't give two f£cks about -and more to do with selling records.

Having a girlfriend doesn't mean you're straight, a lot of people use it as a cover up

Total bull.

I dont give a toss if joe is gay or not, it makes no difference whatsoever, but I do have a problem with people saying he is lying about being straight because he is obviously gay because of the way he acts. Which is total stereotypical bollocks.

LOL it gets worse.

So any guy who is camp, is using his girlfriend to cover up being gay...I've heard it all now.

Jords 15-12-2009 04:32 PM

Joe has said hes not gay, that should be the end of it. I dont even find him that camp, he just seems like a nice geniune lad. But even if he was, who cares?

Depends how camp they are

If Marco from BB5 claimed to be straight, would you believe him?

My internet has been cut off because virgin reckon I owe them £170 and I know I dont, yet they are refusing to send me an itemised bill until I pay what they SAY I owe them...which I wont do.

So can only use internet at my mates...totally lost without my internet :bawling:

I would have no reason to disbelieve him...so yes.

People can be camp and not gay...I know people like that, not quite to the extreme of marco...but it does happen and who am I to say someone is lying about something I know nothing about?

Tom 15-12-2009 04:38 PM

and you think I sound ridiculous :joker:

Aww bad luck:(

Jords 15-12-2009 04:43 PM

Tom I disagree with you.
Marco is actually gay, there is quite the correlation between being camp when a man is gay, so its not right to ask that.

Anyway, what makes you think Joe is gay? Did he do something inparticular?

Vicky. 15-12-2009 04:43 PM

Tom, lets try the opposite of what your saying.

Lets say...some big macho, not camp at all guy, tells you he is gay.

Would you believe him?

I'm sorry but step outside your flowery little bubble where everything is equal and look at this from a realistic point of view.

I was using Marco as an example. We all know he's gay because he admitted it, but if he was still in the closet and was claiming he was straight, would you believe him? After all you can be extremely camp and straight ...

I'd be a bit uncertain tbh, I'd never believe he was fully blown gay if he was how you describe. Bi at most. What you fail to see is that there is psychology attached to sexuality and mannerisms e.g. there have been studies on the way straight and gay people walk.

Or maybe you should stop being a dick and accept that not everyone is as closed minded as you? Instead of me stepping out of my 'flowery little bubble'. Ive never heard anything so patronising in my entire life.

I know camp people who are straight. As I know gay people who are not the slightest bit camp. It happens.

Not really, but Joe is nowhere near as camp like Marco, I dont even think Joe is that camp at all. I know a few people that are quite camp but not gay, it is possible (theyve had gfs, and I dont buy this having a gf to cover it up).

Yeah, you're still kind of missing my point. Good at selective reading aren't you?

You mean like you question the way people act branding them with a fake personality etc?

Nah, those people you know are lying and using their girlfriends to cover up the fact that they are gay...
