I wouldn't say the public 'hate' Kat, she got 44% of a 3 way vote, Kris from BB10 got evicted with 63% of a 5 way vote and Lisa got 68% of a 6 way vote, yet Davina kissed both their asses, and later said they were great housemates, the fact she supports bullys and hates quiet people is what puts alot of people off her!

Same here, but I was most annoyed at her for telling the foul mouth Karly that WE (Speak for yourself Davina) all loved her accent and she was the most Scottish housemate ever, since when should bad behaviour be excused just because of a strong accent and then she told off Noirin coz Siavash 'gave up a girlfriend for her', I couldn't understand why she thought it was OK for a fella to give up a bird but wrong when it was the other way round!:conf:

Davina has cue cards because she doesn't have an autocue unless shes in the studio. A lot of time she spends in the studio is interviewing, where obviously she can't see the autocue. Plus you can't really rehearse an interview with someone who is still in the house.

She can't win really - if she's not being criticised for being a soft touch, she's criticised for being too harsh. If she's not criticised for having favourites, she's accused of being uninterested in the show.

I've no problem with Davina and when she's on fire, she's fantastic (BB9 is her best series of late as the entertaining characters got evicted week after week, so she had some great interviewees to work with). However, the format of the eviction show does her no favours at all, or placing her in a baying mob - and indeed wearing black. The evictions shouldn't be so depressing - they should be the highlight of the week as they were back in the early days - and I do find Davina more watchable on other shows now, when she's not in black!


Interesting though watching her on This Morning saying she's now thankful the show has been axed as it's forcing her to move on and do other things - and I've said for the last few years BB and Davina weren't doing each other any favours, with Big Brother needing a change of direction, and holding Davina back. She needed to cut her links with BB for her career to move on.


The most gutting thing on This Morning though was Holly Willoughby is clearly a massive fan of the show and I've said for the last couple of years she'd have been the ideal replacement - more than capable of stepping into Davina's shoes but doing the show her own way, but more importantly the tabloids love her and Holly taking over would have generated alot of publicity for the show.

Big Brother not being the same wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing (certainly as far as the awful Marcus Bentley is concerned!).

And Davina on Big Mouth is just cringe-worthy. That decision has ruined Big Mouth completely as it's just not a show Davina should be presenting. Although all a matter of taste Russell Brand, Horne and Corden and Jack Whitehall were funny, whilst with Davina it's just an hour of her trying to be funny and failing miserably.

She annoys me at times but BB would not be the same without her..........

I detest Davina "Hook Nose" McCall. She is the worst aspect of the show. Every Friday or eviction night, I deliberately have to watch CBB on Sky+ so I can skip the bits which have Hook Nose gurning on our screens.

Her interviews are atrocious. She has a poor interviewing technique, making the interviewee feel uncomfortable.

The best thing about CBB's axing is that she'll be out of a job.

Yeah her interviewing skills are atrocious sometimes,especially when she fawns all over the bullies but picks on the weaker quieter ones -the way she fawned all over Kris,Karly and Lisa from last year and wouldn't even let the big mouth audience give them the grilling they deserved or ask them the questions we really wanted them to answer but she joined in with the nasty treatment of Rachel who basically got picked on by Davina for been picked on by the housemates yet that lowlife Lisa [bb10] got treated like royalty and everyone had to suck up to her cos Davina said so -CHAVVY bully loving Davina but for me its embarrassing to watch seeing as she's a 41 yr old woman married with two kids trying to act all street and trying [too hard] to be down with the kids and all that sucking up to the baddies is so embarrassing to watch it actually makes me cringe -no wonder the show has gone downhill with the viewers with her acting all fake and hideous -Five yrs ago she was great ,i loved her but now i can't abide her and her fakeness.

Ever think its the producers whispering in her earpieces guiding her through questions etc? She is just a mouthpiece for the BB production team same as Marcus Bentley, except she is given a little lattitude to veer from her scripts. A puppet, albeit a very well paid one. And a tasty MILF to boot.

Steve Jones may be alright doing big mouth as he's naturally funny and knows how to be neutral and he would let people have their say without interupting anyone like Davina does and he's quite hot as well.

I don't think she has changed - it's the viewers expectations which have changed. They now believe it's their right to see the evictee lynched by the mob upon exiting the house and then interrogated by the SS about their behaviour, rather than realising that it's all just simple a TV show and like them or loathe them, you need to show the evictees some respect for subjecting themselves to Big Brother and putting themselves in that situation purely for our entertainment.

And I agree with you about Karly, Kris and Lisa! I was pissed off Davina said on the BB website that Kris should have stayed longer and on the finale night trying to persuade Sophie to take him back! She gave that little tramp Karly such an easy ride and gave her a 2nd interview the next week after her 'hardman' boyfriend quit. And her love for Lisa was sickening! The odd thing is that Davina actually had me feeling sorry for Bea - even though I hated Bea, I couldn't understand why she was the only bully to get grilled when the other bullies got off scott free! Maybe it was a class thing, as Karly, Kris and Lisa were common so Davina could relate to them more than snotty Bea!

Rachel wasn't my choice of winner but Davina should have respected the fact that people voted her the winner and not asked her if she was going to give the money to charity WTF!

She was also very nasty about other nice but quiet housemates like Maysoon (BB9) and Tom (BB10), coz they quit and didn't like the chavvy housemates she loved!

I agree with you on everything you said there and just think if she was totally impartial to all the HM's and stopped fawning over the nasty ones and stopped acting so chavvy 24/7 she would be okay.

The way she acts she isn't doing much to stop those critics calling the show trashy and low rent when she acts in the very same manner which is a shame cos there was a time when she was naturally funny without been OTT and bitchy -I do agree with you though she definetely seems to favour the nasty bitchy diva phoneys to the less confident ones who are not bothered about getting airtime for the sake of it.
