Just bought it. It's lovely. The boxart is all crisp and I'm just smelling the shrink wrap before I decide to rip it off and commence with the first fifteen hours of stifling linearity.

True, everything is expected to be open world these days, but hey, this is FF.

It's meant to only be linear for the first 20 hours or so anyway. And I like any game where a reviewer can use the words 'first 20 hours'.

To make up for it, it's slick as hell so far. And hey, FFX was linear as hell and I enjoyed that.
